Basically a good team built for success. Not unlike the laffs, who play "entertaining" garbage hockey. Ottawa actually has a defensive system.

Does not matter, home ice for the first two rounds would be nice though...

That had better be a double minor or 2+10 for ratface.

The Marchand shuffle:

Step 1 - Use your stick on an unsuspecting player
Step 2 - Fall to the ice safely while both teams scrum
Step 3 - Allow the ref to escort you to your bench while you pretend like you want to fight

I think the Sens are better. But we have had better luck against them all year. Then, again that means nothing come playoff time.

It's hard to pick who is going to be a better opponent to face. I would hate losing to the Leafs though, and having home ice would be awesome. So, I take the Sens.

Bruins fans...bahahaha

"2 minutes well worth it by marchand, set the tone, send a message." Sent a message to who? That you can take a stupid penalty and skate away as fast as possible?!?

"Marchand got a penalty on that? I didn't think he was called for anything." For throwing a cheap shot at the whistle...I wonder why he got a penalty...lol

"I love Marchand when he plays like an ***hole. "I told you I was comin...". And the refs told him he was getting a penalty....

Wow Bruins fans are horrible and deserve everything they get. Pathetic.

Against Ottawa, it would just be better hockey all around.

Against Toronto, it's going to be a goon show rivalling a Habs/Bruins series. I hate watching other teams goon it up against us because we don't have much to match that kind of game, so it always feels frustrating in that manner, regardless if we're winning on the scoreboard (which we more often than not are, but it just doesn't make the games feel any better to watch).

Also, against the Leafs, the high of winning will never come close to the low of losing. We stand nothing to gain to beat them in a playoff series, because we should, but we'd be losing a lot more than a few hockey games if they beat us in the first round. Leafs fans generally already have this blind sense of superiority in the Habs rivalry that I just do not want to have to deal with if they beat us.

I don't think they'll beat us, I just don't want to have to deal with it if they do.

So weird following a GDT when you're not watching the game and it's not your team playing. Oh well, Go Sens.

I asked Marchand how it felt to get completely destroyed by PK a couple years back and he says "I make more money in a week than you do in a year". I said "I figured you would say something like that as you are a piece of ****." He flipped me off and left. 100% true story

This plus Boston vs Toronto would be hilarious

I want the Bruins-Leaf matchup just to confuse the CBC homers on who to root for.

Agreed. First time I would watch a Leafs game or a Bruins game and not have any kind of heart problems or anger management issues!

This is something I have been starting to realize lately. I have always had a stronger hatred for the Bruins. My dad was a Bruins fan and he would torment me to no end whenever the B's ousted the habs in the playoffs. So because of that I grew up despising the Bruins. And I always thought the Habs/Leafs rivalry was more something CBC was keeping alive. But now that I think about it, I dont live in Boston. There are a good deal of B's fans up here, but far more Toronto fans.

i honestly don't care who we play but there are 'extracurricular' advantages to playing sens

1) less obnoxious fans
2) we may have a few 'home' away games
3) less media circus
4) Sens simply don't score many goals, so tighter checking and skating series
5) less physical series
6) less travel for team, basically a bus series - even though TO isn't that far either

Lucic is a rare breed of player and can be a force when he decides to play. His first 2 or 3 years in the NHL he was a nightmare to play against but it seems he as toned it down some since then IMO.

Id say most Hab fans dislike him simply because he plays for the Bruins and because he's a very good player. I'd say the same can be said for PK Subban and Bruin fans.
