Sens are probably a better team than the Leafs, but you have to play good teams in the playoffs, and should the Habs advance the higher seeding they gained tonight will be invaluable.
Plus it'll be on TSN.

Final NE champs before restructuring the divisions

Bring on the sens, and get your popcorn ready for leafs/bruins.

In a matchup against the leafs, montreal has the best player on either team. In a matchup against the sens, its the sens who have the best player.

That 3rd period by karlsson was scary good. He's finding his form pretty quick. This is not a true #7 seed, but you have to play with the hand that you are dealt with.

Anything short of the habs best will result in a 1st round exit.

Pound Karlsson, pound Karlsson, pound Karlsson! When you're done pounding Karlsson, pound Karlsson some more. He played a pile of minutes in his three games this week after returning from injury. Pound Karlsson!

Sens have a lot less speed up front than the Leafs. Our D is pretty slow so thats definitely a good thing.

Plekanec matching up against Turris is key, along with hitting Karlsson repeatedly.

If Pleks can negate Turris like we know he can, then it comes down to a rookie in Zibanejad for their offence down the middle, unless Spezza pulls off an out-of-nowhere return.

Leaf fans must be devastated they're not playing the Habs. The poll for who they wanted to win between the Sens/Bruins game tonight was 200 - 19 for the Bruins to win..

At least we'll have home ice advantage for the whole series.

Apparently that was a false rumor. [but I don't see how this series wont start Thursday]

Too bad we didn't knew Habs were playing Sens when the tickets went on sale as I doubt there is anything left by now.

Sens over leafs decreases our chances of coming out of the first round (Sens>leafs) but improves our chances of winning it all (higher seed, avoiding the pens, letting bruins+leafs beat each others up).

Ultimately I don't care about winning one round. I care about the Stanley Cup. This is good.

The only think that sucks about a Bruins/Leafs round 1 matchup is that one of them will win and move on.

Which leaves Eller on Zibanejad, probably. That's do-able.
This is going to be a GREAT series!
