Awww, he's gonna ruffle some pom-pom wavers feathers with that comment.
He just said a week or two ago that the schedule was tough on them and that everyone looked worn down. I'll try to find the quote

You have to wonder if there is a disconnect this year...He's benched Pervs, Thronton and Lucic...sat guys during games...have been more vocal then ever in the press...you have to think the team may be feeling like they are being stabbed in the back?

I'd like to see the core shuffled a bit in the off-season and some new blood brought in, personally. Nothing drastic, but seeing 1 "big" name moved wouldn't break my heart. Obviously not much you can do right now heading into the playoffs.
The PP isn't the biggest problem, because they don't get a lot of opportunities anyway.

I also would like to see the core shuffled around a bit, and stick with Julien to at least understand if a roster shakeup can make the impact needed to rejuvenate the club.

Team missed that teambuilding trip to Lake Placid to ride a zipline or something.

Oh sure, I get that.

When the season started, CJ and PC publicly stated that due to the 48 game schedule, they didn't have the luxury to be overly patient with players as they had in the past. They made a point of saying that publicly. It should come as no surprise that they've held to that.

I get why the players wouldn't like it. Makes sense. But I also see a team with the talent, depth, system and key players to win a Cup. Unquestionably. When you have that kind of a chance, you can't take your foot off the throttle in a short season, I don't think. If their plan has backfired, it reflects poorly on the supposed leadership in that room, but that's life. I hope it's not the case, but it could be.

It may be semantics, but to me it didn't sound like he was making excuses, he simply said they looked tired.

We've all said thay look tired, but that's an observation, not an excuse.

I've got friends in Lake Placid.

Riding a zipline was not the emphasis of the team building!!

Clode and the Coaching Gang Watch Playoff Edition

All talk about the line-ups and the probable inevitable firing of Clode Julien.

Thanks for the Cup in 2011.

One and done and Clode should be gone. It's becoming more and more obvious that he rode TT and some favorable bounces to a Cup.

I hate to say it, but if we get smoked by Kadri and the Leafs in the first round, MAJOR changes need to happen.

Julien gets canned.

Peter Chiarelli got complacent time to trade a member of the core if we lose in the first round.

BS - they played hard to win that cup.

People can ***** about the current team - but why is everyone so quick to demean the cup winning team from 2011? "Lucky", "fortunate bounces", etc...Just sickening.

Meh, he brought in Jagr and they've played even worse. On paper, this team is stacked now but they continue to suck.

It's more coaching/players quitting than holes in the lineup.

Offensive instincts?

Bruins don't need those. Stick to the system!

Hamilton or McQuaid

I'm thinking Hamilton - we need some offence from the back end.

Sure at the deadline he improved the team, but the deadline was far too late for this team to gell.

The 2012 Bruins were worse than 2011 to start the year and this year the roster was worse than 2012.

This is so far from the truth. This team isn't even close to being stacked.

Hmmm, maybe I should've phrased it better. Point being we were fortunate to beat the Habs. That team wasn't ready to play that series when the puck dropped. Got outplayed badly for the first 2.5 games.

Looking at Clode's resume, 2011 certainly looks like the anomaly. He needs another decent run this year.

Fire him now, put Neely behind the bench. Bring in Nolan in the summer.

Ted Nolan is a great coach and gets everything from his players. I suggest you actually study the game a bit before claiming someone "sucks". Neely would simply send a message, no coach is going to be able to change the system in 4 days. You need to change the face.

I am obviously a Clode fan (feel like we should some identifying marker in our avatars)

I take issue with him not resting Chara though.
