When is the schedule coming out? Trying to go to Game 1 before the ticket hawkers gouge me to death.

I would think it'll come out after the game tonight. If not, tomorrow morning.

It's going to get old fast if Callahan is up to his typical diving all series. It's amazing that d00d doesn't have more of a reputation by now.

the die has been cast. lundqvist hot. 3 shutouts. caps get no power plays. erat misses a wide open net in game 7 and ribeiro takes a yapping penalty in ot for the loser. followed by 3 more monts of fire mcphee. let ribeiro walk. trading for erat was dumb. where was ward? erskine it too slow and lastly.....oates said they played right and it will come in time. fire oates too.

or.....lloyd picks up the dice and says "do over"......using my dice.

At the very beginning of the year when the Caps were really struggling, I saw them at 50 to 1. Wish I had jumped on that

I think the last time I checked (a few days ago) the Caps were now 13 to 1.

Haha, plus/minus, the stat thats so telling about how good someone is in their own end.

Schultz should of been a norris winner if that were the case.

We have never been more ready to hit then now.

Wave 1 - Ovi
Wave 2 - Erat Ribs and Brouwer
Wave 3 - Meh
Wave 4 - Hendy and Volpatti

That wave 2 is the difference maker. 4th liners dont always get the TOI needed to have a big impact. Plus, the big D to target will be out against our scoring lines.

If one of their punk tries to rush the puck, we also have more dmen ready to hit than in recent memory.

Totally agree. And I'd add that Chimmer can throw a check.

I was going to add him, but didn't because really his game is speed. Plus, with his size, if he were a hitman he would probably be suspended half the year. He could destroy guys daily yet doesn't. And that is fine, as its just not his game.

Fehr is another one I wanted to add, but he is a goal scorer and doesnt look to hit. Both do not back down and will help overall team toughness.

The big surprise to me is Ribs. He is one scrappy SOB and will finish his checks, always when he is pissed off.

i finally have confidence that we have a SMART coach.
not just a coach, a smart man who can analyse an opposition team and find ways to beat them and find ways to help our guys when opponents lock them down.

finally i have that confidence for the first time as a caps fan.

I guess one thing good about getting the Rags is Oates knows how the Devils beat them next year.

They probably had a lot of clips from the Caps on how to not beat them.

That thread on the Playoff board is a headache.

I'll let the Caps play speak for me.

I too think he is smart. He seems a tactician but from a more macro level. Outside of a few assignments Hillen had, I have not seen much else that makes me think he will try much new. Not much line matching for instance. But we need to give him a playoff series to grade him.

Bruce didn't match lines until year 3 or so. Shutdown pair took 2 years. Hunter was all about matchups to the extreme, even if it meant Beagle got more TOI than Ovi. In the end Bruce and Dale got the same result.

Oates seems in between the 2 and I agree with you in having confidence, and he should bode well for us. But Torts is a PITA and Oates will have his hands fulll. Torts makes for good post game pressers when he loses, and hopefully Oates makes it happen. Its like salt on the wound watching Torts.

So, between Taylor Swift and the Knicks, it seems like scheduling this might be a bear.

Can't they just move the Knicks to a high school gym or something?

One of the Rangers fans said Stepan was better than Backstrom defensively. His credibility went out the window when he said MoJo was better defensively than Backstrom.

Didn't Backstrom save a goal and absolutely truck one of Callahan/Dubinsky in game 7 after Fedorov's winner. One of his best shifts. You'd think Rags fans would remember how awesome Backstrom is.

Said Rangers fan: Looks at +/- rating, instantly comes to the conclusion that Stepan is better defensively.

hahahahahah!! Guess we'll see who's better, although Holtby turns into LOLtby when it comes to Stepan. Backstrom is obviously the far better player.
