Best Devils Forward This Year #1

I saw a similar poll recently except it ranked the d-men. So I'm doing one for our forwards. I'll stop after 12 because there's 12 forwards in a game lineup. In this poll vote for the best. I left out some forwards on purpose because we all know that Barch wasn't our best forward.

Elias had the best positioning and point production, but he suffers from the same over-passing problem the whole team does.

95% of Kovys offense consists of powering into the zone, then putting the brakes on and waiting for the cavalry to arrive..... which usually turns the puck over

Good point. I wasn't going to add him and Carter at first but I did because they were very consistent while many other players slumped at points.

Bernier.

Elias was the best offensively, but Bernier and Carter were our best forwards on most nights.

Patrik was non existent when Kovalchuk went down, came back to life when he returned. Coincidence? I say not. Kovalchuk made Clarkson and Elias better by drawing tougher minutes on most nights.

Kovalchuk
Elias
Bernier
Clarkson
Loktionov
Zubrus
Zajac
Carter
Henrique
Gionta

You people are truly pathetic. Bernier our best player? haha okay! You do know, that every team has there very own "Bernier". What teams don't have is a Kovy or Elias. Freaking Bernier lmfao.

The poll isn't asking for which forward on the Devils is the best.. it's asking about which forward on the Devils had the best year.

Big difference.. Bernier would definitely make an argument here.

Elias, but Bernier exceeded expectations the most.

No need to call the people who voted for him pathetic.

Yup and it was Bernier's 15 point campaign?

The poll doesn't say which forward scored the most points, or which player was the best offensively, it just says best. Bernier and Carter were by far our most consistent forwards this season, they didn't score every night, but they sure played hard, smart and made things happen. Even on nights when the entire team looked asleep(which happened a lot this season), Bernier and Carter would go out for a shift, have a great forecheck and bring some energy to the game. Most of our other players underachieved this season, some of them big time.

I think that makes the Devils offense pathetic, not individual posters here..

Actually, the title of this thread is 'Best Devils Forward this year', period.

If it was who did the best compared to expectations then yeah it would be Bernier or Loiktionov.

I like Bernier but when you had 15 points and people think you were the best all around forward on our team... well then that basically sums up how historically inept we were offensively. I guess Elias deserves the best of a bad situation award but I have a hard tough voting for any of these guys after what we just witnessed over these past 3 months.

How about Tedenby, Butler, Matteau? No Matt Anderson? No Timmy Sestito either? WTF?!

How about Janssen, Barch, and Uncle Jesse?

I LOL'd at Poni not being included. That basically sums up what he brought the last 2 months.

I'm not even joking right now, but for as much as I trash him I legitimately did not even think to see if he was on the list, nor remembered to put him in my sarcastic list full of scrubs. That's pretty sad. I think most of us can agree that he sucked this year, and brought jack ****. It took awhile to get the bad taste out of my mouth of Pandolfo's last seasons with us, and he was a fixture on the team for years. Poni has almost made me forget every great memory about him last season. LOL at the people who said they can see Lou re signing him to a 2 year contract.

I can see Kenny Sutton being brought back before him. Good job for anyone who gets that reference!

Poni was invisible this year. Time to move on from him. The only positive I can say about him is that he wasn't a liability, but he was useless. I could see him in the KHL next year if you want the gods honest truth. He's been on one year contracts for the last 4 or 5 so I don't know how anybody can see him being brought back for two. I can't see him being brought back for one.
