All I could think is, "He sure is a hockey player."

I'm pretty sure he has them. Probably. Let me think about it.

I'm talking about rational people who can look at things objectively. Last week you were touting Kessel for MVP so sorry but you have zero credibility here.

Also, you lost a sig bet to me last year and didn't honour it... but that's a whole different story.
I wouldn't take Kessel over Crosby, that's silly.

What was the sig bet? I've always honoured all my bets.

This Bruins series will tell a lot about Kessel.

Go look at your PMs from July 2011 for the 2011-12 season. I bet you the Leafs wouldn't make the playoffs.

Anyways man don't worry about it at this point. I tried PM'ing you after you missed and I didn't see you online much.

Used to be quite indifferent about him as a leaf fan considered him overrated, but ever since he's removed the patented "Kessel skates down the right wing and shoot the puck directly into the blocker", I think he deserves any plaudits coming his way. You just have to accept the fact that he will never be anything other than soft.

He's not on that level.
He's on the level as the aforementioned players I said before. I'm not comparing him to scrubs.

Mark Recchi lead his team in points MOST seasons, is 12th on the all-time scoring list, and ended with 500+ goals, 1500+ points, and 3 Stanley cups. Recchi puts up some of the most phenomenal numbers, in NHL history, so don't pretend like I'm putting Kessel into some 3rd rate category.

And much like Kessel, Recchi was never considered to be dominant. There is another 'tier' of players most teams would rather have.

Think of it like this: Kessel, like Recchi is an AMAZING player, but neither were or will be a real threat to win any NHL hardware.

That's true about the stats but Mark Recchi would go through a wall to make his teams win and was pretty hardnosed. Can you say the same about Kessel?

Has really developed his game this season. Wonder how he'll do in the playoffs.

Kessel is like a Pat Kane, Hossa, Jeff Carter, Sedins, and St Louis. Not skill set per say, but he won't dominate a team like Boston.
