Let me explain my point further. If Anderson is hot, he'll probably out-duel Price this season.. but if Anderson isn't on a hot streak, he'll lose you a game as much as he is likely to win you one.. Price will give us a consistent performance night in and night out, where Anderson is a bit erratic. I'll take consistency over a 7 game series.
Price is the better goalie. I haven't been happy with his play lately but I'd rather him than Anderson.

The real matchup I want to see is Subban vs Karlsson. That's going to be awesome to watch.

Not a huge fan of the layoff before Game 1 but guys like Markov and Prust could definitely use the time off.

Sens have insurance on off-night performances, and injury. There's nowhere for the Habs to go but bury the best of the chances they get.

They scored 7 goals in 4 regular season games on Ottawa, if that's going to stand up in the playoffs Price and the d-corps will have to be near flawless.

Karlsson was one of the stars last night but I'd have to say he looked slow and was a turnover machine at times. I wish I counted the number of offsides that occurred at the Boston blueline while he had the puck. Hopefully the matchup gives us an advantage until Karlsson catches up with his game.

Well I tried to get tickets the day they went on sale and all that was left were those 300$+ tickets in the Desjardins section and not even side by side...

Really? I think it was the only game the sens were as healthy as they are right now....

Hmmm....Just the team I didn't want the Habs to face.

Ottawa stayed in it despite major injury problems this year. Tight defensive, well-coached team. With the push Karlsson's return gives them they could be a dangerous team in the playoffs.

Not a fan of knowing Carey Price will have gone 1 week between starts... I really don't understand why they sat him on saturday.

On the bright side, the additional practice time may allow him to work out some kinks in his technique.

Karlsson and Anderson scare me. They could be a major factor. Other than that, this is a good matchup. The games should be close and I can't see this going fewer than 6.

Love the fact we have all this time to rest the banged up players and tweak the special units in practice.

Also interested in all the micro battles this series will bring. PK vs Karlsson, Price vs Anderson, Prust vs Neal.

Karlsson is an amazing player, he's going to do his thing...Habs will just need to try to minimize his damage.

But I think/hope that without Spezza in the lineup, Plekanec is going to match up with Turris.

I think if the Habs can win that matchup, it'll be very difficult for the Sens to keep up...

I wouldn't put to much into this. Price needed to rest mentaly. WHat I hope is that he's practicing hard on the ice.

Yes! Thank for the clarity on a groggy Monday morning.

Been reading/listening to too much TSN analysis of the series. What I gleaned: "Ottawa finished 7th in the East but is not a 7th placed team."

Their best scorer is Kyle Turris with 29 points. They have 6 players over 20 points. We have 6 players over 30 points.. Sure they now have Karlson back but we definitely have more depth. Don't see how they're gonna be able to outscore us unless Carey lays an egg.

So far at practice, same lines as Saturday.

The Sens have 3 centers under 50% in the faceoff circle. So Halpern is not needed you would think.

Need White in there to support Prust against Neil.

We should all buy tickets to Marie-Mai so we can boo her louder than Chara

If you think about it the only thing they have over us right now is goaltending, because anderson has played of the walls this year, but he only has two playoff series on his resume. Experience is a key in this series and the habs have much more of it.

White's also been good on face-offs. He played a surprisingly solid game on Saturday, too.

Halpern is needed, especially in close games where FO% translates into scoring chances.

It depends which Halpern shows up...the Halpern of the first 2-3 weeks, sure...but he was really disappointing/invisible the last 2-3 weeks.

I wouldn't say it's "surprising" that White played well. He's a good player, just had a bit of an identity crisis this year. If he can find the happy medium he was at for the past 2 seasons, he'll be golden.

I'm pretty sure we could win this one easily... Karlsson is out of sync ATM, If we can put a big line out there thats good on forechecking and grind him to death, he's going to be a non-factor. I'd give that job to Eller/Bourque, they can both be wrecking balls.

More importantly, I hope MT will fix this stupid '' Oh yeah, we don't look in our backs when we're on defense'' crap. We need to play tight.

Why? Why did she do to deserve such mean treatment?

She hired a manager that dared to book the Bell Center to host a show? Woah, what a sin.

The key to this series will be special teams. I've noticed that teams have taken away PK's bomb on the power play. They need to establish some down low success to free him up again.
