GSP has outstruck every fighter he's ever fought standing.

Yeah, its pretty telling that from his entire career, there is one gif that can be shown to try to discredit GSP. Despite what Diaz fans like to think, GSP isn't just the best wrestler in MMA, he's also a top notch striker, just not a flashy one or one with one shot knockout ability like Hendricks.

GSP. Unanimous decision. Owned Diaz on the ground, but alot of the fight was standing. And he was better than Diaz there as well. Diaz did a pretty good job blocking take downs after the second round, but it wasn't really close at all. GSP easily.

That "fight" was a waste of GSP's time.

Completely expected result.

Gotta say I don't dislike Diaz as much now though.

For those who want to see it/see it again, the stream I was watching is re-playing it. At the Ricci/Fletcher fight right now.

Hendricks won't be able to close the distance against George. Hendricks only needs one punch, but GSP by UD is probably whats going to happen.

I think Ellenberger would be a better match up tbh.

That was awesome to watch.

Nick saying he didn't want to make excuses, then proceeds to make excuses.

I loved that you had GSP, Hendricks and then Diaz all sitting beside each other. Even Diaz couldn't help commenting on how they were going to be fighting each other next and they were side by side.

I like Hendricks but I don't think he beats St.Pierre. It will be the same old story. His opponent will have knock out power that GSP has never seen before...and he most likely won't see it. Hendricks looked like a one trick tony tonight. Got tons of take downs and scored points but did absolutely no damage.

He did make tons of excuses. Not sure why he said he wasn't going to. My favorites were that he was bloated and couldn't figure out the time difference so he was tired. It's not like they were fighting in London...

As long as Diaz doesn't go to jail for tax evasion....I'd like to see him fight Rory next, just to compare the damage he does to Diaz on the ground vs the damage GSP did.

And man did Jordan Mein look good..holy hell

Agreed. Dan Miller is a game fighter and Mein made hi his *****.

Was pleasantly surprised to see he's from Lethbridge. I knew he was Canadian but I figured he'd be from Ontario or something.

the GSP fight is pretty much exactly what you expected it would be i thought... except that diaz wasn't as dominating when they were standing, i thought they were about equal when they were standing... diaz got more body shots in while they were on their feet, but GSP landed a lot more jabs and of course his superman-punches... the ground game wasn't even CLOSE, diaz looked completely lost on the ground and GSP utterly dominated him... i was a little surprised that GSP didn't do a LOT of damage though, outside of the first round when he landed a bunch of side head shots and elbows... diaz's full guard defence was a little better than i was expecting, but he still had no answers for take-downs at all... GSP was successful on probably 75-80% of his take down attempts

i really think the only two things that will stop GSP (outside of a lucky headshot that drops him, which is always a possibility) is: GSPs age catching up with him, or, GPSs own dominance making him take the sport/training lightly for one match

I don't think GSP will take his training lightly. I agree that and and his age are what would potentially lead to a loss but I don't see it happening. He only trained for 3 weeks leading up to the Serra fight and he learned his lesson. He cares too much about his legacy to have another fluke loss on his record.

I was surprised to hear GSP say that he knew Diaz would give up his back but he didn't want to really take it. You'd think he would have tried at least one rear naked choke.

I'm not the type to criticize GSP for not finishing fights. If you didn't know he had that reputation and just watched any of his fights, you'd appreciate how dominant each performance was. With that said, it's the 5th round and he looks up and the clock and he sees there's 10 seconds left and then just tees off on Diaz...you can't help but wonder where that killer instinct was in the previous 24:50. Obviously he's capable of finishing fights. A 25 year old GSP TKO'd Matt Hughes in his prime in the 2nd round(would have been in the 1st round if rounds were 5:10 long). He's a better fighter now...

GSP can't finish a fight if his life depended on it. He's good, don't get me wrong, but I find it so annoying how it always goes to a decision when he fights. That's the reason why he'll always be levels below Anderson.

It's like winning in a shootout. Sure, you win, but if you were truly dominant, you would've won in regulation.

So what happened to Jones' toe? I watched a few replays and never noticed anything. I mean it was dangling, you'd think you'd notice it on the film.
