With Drouin likely where a Lightning sweater next season, our logjam in the top 6 just got more... logjammy. As such, what would one of these two pieces get?

Team needs are: Young, Top 4 D. I'd say any pick but our 1st is on the table. A high end D prospect would also be desirable.

Why? So he can score at more than 2ppg? I just don't see what he has to prove down in the Q. Moreover, even without Drouin we have a logjam.

Why does the D have to be young? I'd prefer an older (not old), more experienced fellow of his mid to late 20s. Preferably defensive and physical.

Sbisa could possibly be had from Anaheim.

Reliable physical defenseman with some puck-moving abilities. @ $2M per.

Defense for Forward swap, I'd do Brayden McNabb straight across for Brett Connolly

That's... interesting. How has McNabb been this year? Did he come up at all or stay in the A?

Neither, he got injured and finished the season on IR.

That's very intriguing. What would the asking price be?

Connolly is a winger correct? Yeah I'd trade McNabb for him.

Like Sbisa but doubt i'd flip either of those guys for him. Orpik I worry about breaking down like Ohlund did. Martin maybe, I worry about making the money work, and McNabb i'm not sold on.

I don't see us trading either of them for for players on the wrong side of 30.

Not sure that Tampa Bay would want Paul Martin He's to Injury Prone, But Brooks Orpik might be Intriguing to them.

Bruce Boudreau loooooves loves loves Jeff Schultz. Do you guys want Jeff Schultz for Sbisa? Come on, you know you do.

Seriously though, what would Anaheim want from Washington for Sbisa?

What are we proposing for, the third overall pick? This is terrible.

I'd suggest Bolts look at getting Coburn for cheaper or Myers for more expensive.

Why would the Lightning want a 6 million dollar 3rd line center?

Right now, he is a solid 3rd pairing D.

Two years ago, he was our 3rd best D (no shame in that when Suter and Weber are on your team). He got cocky, didn't train hard enough, sucked to start the year, and was sent down to Milwaukee. He is still recovering from that.

If Blum can find the groove he was in that year, we will be a very very solid 2nd pairing PMD, probably a #3D. If not, I think he bottoms out as a nice 3rd pairing guy that can contribute on the power play.

He is a bit soft and still makes a few too many mistakes, but he is a very good starter with good vision and passing ability.
