I'm liking Belleville at home on Monday with Camara and potentially Hall still out.

Portland won't have puck possession for majority of the game like they normally do.

The oil kings are better coached.

But really it will be Brossoit that once again wins this series.

Portland would've finished 3rd if they were in the east.
I hope you are right about the Oil Kings winning, but the Hawks have way more offensive weapons than just Rattie.

How's Zharkov been playing for the Bulls?

Calgary wins it.. Game 7 coming.

Yet again the Oil Kings dominated OT, Calgary gets their chance and scores.

That's what I was hoping the whole series would be played like.

Camara's suspension was ruled by OHL to be just the one game he already sat out. He will play on Monday...

The Hitmen are a very oppourtunistic team and have won both of the "close" games in this series. If Calgary wins this thing, it will be a classic example of a rope-a-dope.

All that being said, Kings all the way on Tuesday!

Today I watched my first live WHL game of the season and it was pretty entertaining. The Oil Kings absolutely dominated the game 5 on 5. It wasn't even close. The Hitmen took advantage of their powerplays and were opportunistic but had no business winning this game. The Lazar-Samuelsson line controlled this game. Lazar's wrister for a 2-0 lead was a thing of beauty.

Moose vs. Drakkar final

MacKinnon vs. Drafted MacKinnon

The storylines are there. Let's see a great series!

The Drakkar will be an interesting opposition to the Mooseheads. Of course there is the MacKinnon story line. But also the Drakkar are extremely intense, very physical team which should give Halifax nightmares. They will have it tough. Plus add in last year's Memorial Cup winning coach Éric Veilleux behind Baie-Comeau's bench. They have a lot of things going for them. Momentum from a very tigh series against BLB as well. Cadorette is ON FIRE. Deep forward group and a PUNISHING set of Ds. They woud be worthy of representing us at the Memorial Cup, but Drouin and Mac might have another idea...

By the time the series starts, there will have been 2 full calendar months plus since the Mooseheads last lost... That is also on fire

Drakkar will be a big test. Best D group in the league and a pretty good goalie in Cadorrette. If there's one team that can solve a defensive system it will be Halifax. Deep forward groups... Potential for a long series, which I'd like.

That game was pretty even I thought.

I had expected that whole series to play out like that game. Better late than never, can't beat a game 7 for a neutral observer.

Barrie takes Game 7 against Belleville 3-1 and moves on to play the Knights.

I don't know what to say other than that it is absolutely astounding to me that we could have had that different of a view of that game. Especially since we are both apparently neutral observers.

I think the word domination gets tossed around pretty loosely around here.

The shots were evenish. Play was pretty even.

Quite a bit of back and forth flow, nothing like the other games.

Refs stayed away from becoming the show.

I actually thought Calgary carried the play in the 3rd. Edmonton had more chances in OT.

You could say Edmonton had the slight edge in play, but I didn't see domination. Only domination I've seen this series was game 2 (if that was the penalty filled game) and it was mostly pp domination in the 3rd.

Game 6 was by far the most even game of the series. Hard to tell though on this board lots of Edmonton fans.

I'm actually rooting for Exmonton. Would love to see a rematch. Too bad Reinhart might possible miss it if they get there.

I think a lot of people assume Edmonton is dominating games because they come out very strong and have finished strong in games, even in the OT losses.

But you're right in that from the last 5 minutes of the 1st until the last 10 of the 3rd Calgary usually has the edge.

In the first period of Game 6, Edmonton was winning every race to the puck. Calgary couldn't even dump it in. The second period on I was so nervous every time Calgary got the puck because they were playing so hard. They outworked the Oil Kings in the 3rd. In OT the Oil kings really came out flying. Tons of chances, but Calgary did a good job of collapsing on the plays and then forced the Edm D deep into the zone, and then Calgary forechecked hard and put it to bed.

I was excited for it, then stupid Shaw screwed up and my PVR didn't set, and I know it's a shaw issue, because it did the same thing to a few of my buddies who were also PVR'ing it.

To watch the first 6 games and then get screwed out of game 7 sucks, but at least we get the rematch we've all been hoping for.

Did you pvr channel 304? They ended up showing it on 303 instead.

Yup. The old lady set it for me.

When I got home it was listed on both channels.

Doesn't sound like it was too exciting anyways.

Edmonton/Portland should be a barnburner. Should the Oil Kings find a way to consistently play their A game, the series will be a war.

Game 7 was a bit of a snoozer, but the right team won, in my humble and biased opinion.
