He's still an extremely long shot to make the NHL, but good to see him doing great in the AHL.

PPG in the AHL is a big deal.

No one saw this one coming.

If he had played more games, Rajala would have been a serious contender for rookie of the year.

The winner was Toffoli who got 51 points in 58 games.

Rajala had 45 points in 46 games.

Safe to say that burying him in the ECHL actually paid off and lit a fire under his ass to put up points and get noticed.

If by "safe to say that" you mean "maybe" then sure. Just because you're able to jump to a conclusion doesn't make it true, or 'safe'.

Do you guys know if Justin Schultz, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle will play for the Baron during the playoffs? Thanks.

Hall, Eberle and Yakupov will be headed to the Worlds, Nuge is out for 6 months with shoulder surgery and Schultz will be recovering after a very long season. OKC will go the distance with what they have now.

"The distance" referring to how far they eventually go, not necessarily suggesting they win a championship.

My ha-good-one comment stands. First-round exit, I fear.

Have you been paying attention, at all?
They had a whopping 2 regulation losses in the whole month of April.

Something like 14-3-3 in their last 20. Seem to be peaking at the right time.

Checkers win the first game in OT. Oilers win, Barons lose. Topsy turvy world.

OKC Barons respond with a win of their own. Arcobello with the hat trick.

Any idea if Paajarvi and Lander will be joining the Barons? I don't know how that works, but maybe even Klefbom should get a look in OKC.

Pretty sure Paajarvi isn't able to go down without having to clear waivers. Lander should be able to go down though.

It matters if they put him on the clear day roster.

Don't think they do clear day rosters anymore. Every AHL just submits their 22-man roster for the playoffs after the regular season. Doubtful Lander was on that list.

Ugh I would really like Lander to go down if they are going to make a run.

Yep, I remember hearing him say that as well. Hopefully he's in for game three. And hopefully Rajala lights the lamp a couple of times--go Toni!

Not the best start in game 3. Barons down 3-1 early.
