J-Bo Playoff Hero

I'm going to go out on a limb and call it early. J-Bo will dominate in L.A. series. I believe him never getting to the playoffs will send a player of his magnitude into overdrive now that he is finally there. He has been nothing short of awesome since getting here and I think we will now see the Blues playoff machine in action with J-Bo showing he takes no prisoners in playoff hockey.

I am in no way saying he is our savior of playoff hockey or its all up to him. I just think its been a long time coming for him and he is going to be excited. I'm going to call it right now.

J-Bo vs Los Angeles in playoff debut
He gets 3 goals, 8 assist in series. He also gets into a fight to acclimate himself to his teammates and lead by example. He will be a force on first passes entering the zone, he will also be dominating at clearing our crease, Ive seen him send a few flying there already and believe he will ramp it up and even take a penalty if it sends the message of good luck standing right here boys. All Blues fans who said he was basically an overpayed cream puff at time of trade will recant and love this trade after the first two games of this series. J-Bo is going to show what the business is to the defending champs. His toughness will lead the whole team in that direction. Backes will also jump on board and lets just hope he doesn't try to fight the whole kings bench at one time drawing 80 penalty minutes on one play, we all know he is capable of just that crazy stuff right there. On a lighter note, Roman Polak will get his door opened at some point this series, I hope he can contain himself as he is a tough cookie and we need him to be composed and not draw penalties. David Perron will do something stupid, yes I'm sure of it. Mostly by drawing offensive zone penalties until benched as he holds on to Kings players sticks as they skate by. Don't shoot the messenger you all know I'm right. Scwartz will annoy L.A. to know end, he is small but plays with tenacity, if he doesn't get injured he will be a large part of the Blues success.

So in closing J-Bo is going to look like he is worth his hefty price tag. Kings fans will moan that we actually won a game. The Blues will then know: Hey we can beat these guys, which will lead us to a series win.

So that's how I see it. Thoughts?

3 goals, 8 assists...in, at most, 7 games????

Please be right.

I do agree that Bouwmeester will be great in the playoffs. He is too emotionally detached that he won't put added pressure on himself just because the bright lights are on.

My hope is that he gets 1-2 goals, 3-4 assists in this series while playing 25-26 minutes a night, and playing his usual solid defense.

Lol I was being right. I think its possible. Not likely at all but possible. That's what it is when you make a prediction, its something you think could happen. I think all these years of J-Bo wanting to play playoff hockey could send him over the edge into a realm we haven't seen in a while. Yes lol I know at best its a 7 game series haha.

It'll depend on how confident he is with the puck under this kind of pressure. If he can escape the LA forecheck and start gaining the zone on his own like we've seen him do, the Blues can set up shop ALL day long. His passing needs to have a bit more zip on it now as well.

I think he can gain the zone on him. I'm excited, I think its going to open lots of holes for us in the series. I think we are primed for an upset of the champs, I'm stoked.

It will be Perron who dominates. Not Jay Bo.

J-Bo, you were dominant in game 1 but your like11 points away from my prediction and losing games to make those points in. Please step it up, my village idiot reputation is at stake. Thank You.

Well J-Bo was excellent last night. I distinctly remember turning to my buddy and telling him that I feel so comfortable when Petro and Bouw are out there. Those two together form an outstanding pairing.

Doing their best Lidstrom and Niedermayer impressions.

Yeah they looked great! Petro was really strong on his stick and winning physical battles, took a hit, I was scared he was hurt but all looked well.

J-Bo looked awesome! Was just skating around the Kings at times. Also gave one of them a pretty nasty Cross Check in the third coming out of the zone I thought he was going to get called for, sent the guy just a flying. He sure hasn't been a cream puff like so many advertised. I am so happy we got him. He just makes us better all the way around with what he brings.

Well I thought this thread would be premature but it's looking like it could be true. Bouwmeester looked great. Him and Petro are an ELITE top pairing - something we've lacked for a while. It's unbelievable the difference JayBo makes. Can you guys believe that last year we actually had Carla Colaiacovo in his position?

Bouw makes things much easier on Pietrangelo. They are both two-way threats. Bouwmeester's speed and reach is one of the best thing to watch - he just doesn't get beat often. And from watching him I always knew he was a lot more physical in the crease than people give him credit for. He's so big and does a very good job of defending our net.

I'm a kid by most of your guys standards, just turned 20. but one of my first memories of hockey is watching the pronger macinnis pair play together. I never realized how fortunate the blues were until a few years ago when I realized they were both top 5 defenseman in the league at that time. I think for kids just starting to get into hockey and the blues, petro and jay-bo could end up being the same for them as pronger macinnis was for me. I love this trade.

I'm not trying to say petro and jay bo are as good as pronger macinnis but that we could have something really special here.

They're a damn good pair, that's for sure. And speaking of Pronger, I saw him at the mills the other night. Oh my god he's huge. Looks real skinny though.

jbo may not put up 11 points... but he'll certainly prevent 11 goals the kings could've scored...

J-Bo I'm not mad at you, but are you really going to let a defensive specialist like Huge Jackman get the up on you in this competition of points? Obviously you won't let this define what flavor of cream puff you are and we will know you are goal scoring flavor just like Huge Jackman before this series is over! Your running out of games to net the 11 points big boy!! GET WITH IT!!!

LOL I"LL MAKE STUPID PREDICTIONS ALL THE WAY TO THE CUP IF IT LEADS TO HUGE JACKMAN DEFLATING THE SPIRITS OF THE DEFENDING CHAMPS!!! SORRY TO INTERNETS SHOUT ALL LOL

In all seriousness I have to laugh at the J-BO haters at this point. Could they possibly look anymore clueless at this point lol?? He's been awesome!!

However tonight is for you Jax if J-Bo is a Cream Puff your a freaking Moon Pie, I believe Moon Pie and Cream Puff might just haul our happy arses to Lord Stanleys Cup the way its going!! Two defenseman people love to bash for no reason leading this team to glory getting no credit!!
NO MORE to Cream Puff and MOON PIE! I salute you both for the awesome players you are and can not wait until you fill Lord Stanleys Cup with Sour Skittles and feed them to the L.A. Kings leaving the best hockey in the world for your fans!!

O.K. I'm over the top guys!! but we are up Two to Nuttin!!! Boys!!!
GO BLUES!!!
