how so?

One of his best games was against the LA Kings

and they are getting matched up against the bottom 6 and they could really exploit the lack of speed the Sharks have.

Whitecaps game starts same time as Canucks game tomorrow. Downtown is going to be a real party.

His other best game was against St Louis too.

Schroeder was pick pocketting bigger guys along the wall most of the time he was up this year.

Better option than Ebbett for sure, but Ebbett is a LH C, so I imagine that is where AV is finding value in using him over Schroeder. I'm not sure one person agrees with him

I am the opposite of a Canuck fan but I bet with my wallet not my heart, and as such have picked the nuks to make it out of the west. Most of my friends think I am crazy, but I think with Kessler being healthy and the depth provided by Roy give Vancouver their best chance in recent years.
here is hoping your team can prove me right.
Also your team has lost to the eventually cup champs three straight years!! Pretty sure most on here knew that, but it's crazy.

Your wallet is going wish your brain did the betting.

Sharks finished the season 2 points back of us playing in a far superior division.

Sharks in 6.

It's true, it's true...

manhandled by who? Couture, Pavelski, gomez? Thornton is the only big center and he could man handle any of our centers other than Kesler..

I wanna see Lappy and Edler on the first face off tomorrow. A big hit would be a great way to start the game and get the crowd going.

I would've loved to see how the Sharks would've done without Couture + Pavelski all year. To, you know, add some insight without us having Kesler + Roy for huge parts of it.

But logic, has no place when talking about the NHL.

WOW!! I really can't wait for this to get started. I woke up today really anxious like a kid waiting to open up his gifts on Xmas morning. I can't believe how much I'm looking forward to this. I love it!

I think with the Canucks turning in a mix bag of games down the stretch..alot of media has picked us to maybe win a round...or not.....

alot of media has overlooked the amount of roster poor games due to injuries or rest...

the only one I really have heard...is bob Mackenzie refer to our injuries down the sstretch... and that hes curious to see how quickly we gel/get chemistry with a full lineup
versus a team that has had time to have chemistry in Sj

and same old story out there....... anh or chi.have two solid goalies to choose from...a good advantage
to canucks have goalie controversy

SJ is a solid team who have improved their chemistry and team speed at forward with an above average goalie......but i think alot of people will be surprised if canucks come out and play consitinly as they did VS Chi

Certainly goes against the whole "clean slate" mantra all the TSN, CBC, and Sportsnet guys were using for justifying their picks.

If I had to guess, probably not playing. Until Ebbett has an absolute atrocious game and it's painfully obvious to everyone.

Shhhhh, the Hockey Gods might be listening , I'm trying reverse psychology this year.

I think we're going to win it every year... trying something different.

And yet the Sharks got more points out of playing the NW division than the Canucks did. Here are their records against non-NW division teams this season:

VAN: 15-9-6

SJS: 13-14-6

The hardest hit other than Bitzy on Clifford against LA last year was thrown 10 seconds into game one.

We just don't build on the momentum of big hits for some reason.

I just hope our defense stands up at the blue line and our forwards pressure the puck carrier.

We're at our best when the gap is tight and we force teams to dump th puck.

That was Booth on Doughty right? He threw a couple huge hits in that series. I think we are going to miss him for sure.

Just end the Schroeder homerism already. You'd think this kid was Cody Hodgson or something.

no one said he was Cody Hodgson...

doesn't mean he can't contribute to this team. If you have noticed, Raymond plays a lot better flanking Schroeder than anyone else

Yeah but this is not the same Sharks team that was neck and neck with Chicago to start the year.

They have gone 7-6 since the trade deadline when they traded Douglas Murray, Michael Handzus, and Ryane Clowe for Scott Hannan and Raffi Torres.

The Canucks have also gone 7-5 in that time.
