Nav-er!

Between him and Gomes, we've seen some beautiful defense in the corner outfield to start this season.

Just got home from the game. Having a cocktail, then heading to the B's game. Nothing like a double header! Nice outing for Lackey today and what a catch by Nava to end it. Right in front of us in the bleachers.

I still get pissed at the 7 inning fans. Those that show up late and leave once friggin Sweet Caroline is over. Would they leave a theatre show early to beat the rush home? Ugh!

There are many surprises from this year's Red Sox team, but Daniel Nava may be at the top of my list.

Through 86 plate appearances he has 8 XBH, 16 RBI, .310 AVG, .407 OBP and a .942 OPS.

I can't even begin to explain how much I love watching the Jays struggle. Having been forced to listen to how great they are since December, and having their fans reminisce about '92 & '93, like history was going to repeat itself this year, I take solace in the fact the Jays could be out of it in a matter of weeks.

Still too early in the season to predict this.

The Yankees are surprisingly playing relatively well considering their injuries and not in bad shape

Let's see how the Sox do on the road, most of the games have been at home so far

They are over achieving big time. 15-10, but have a +7 run differential. Vernon Wells is hitting .310 with 6HR, Travis freakin Hafner is at .290 with 6HR as well. Anyone expecting them to keep that up is delusional.

They are probably an 80-85 win team. Jeter is gone for most of the season, who knows whats up with ARod. Granderson is looking like mid-May, and Texeiria is looking like early June.

No doubt they make that lineup instantly better even at 50%, but that team is just old and frankly I can't see them winning more than 85.

Picture from the 14th inning at Monday night's game in Miami. The official attendance was announced at 15,605 which means that about 15,405 had already left.

Being a Canadian i have to say it's hilarious watching the Blue Jays fans slam right back down to earth, sure they looked good on paper but they seemed to have forgot you can't win the World series at the winter meetings.

That being said i picked them to be a wild card contender on the basis that both the Yankees and Sox would be terrible, sure as hell didn't think either would come out this hot, especially Boston.

Hopefully the Rays can justify me picking them to win the division at some point.

it's 2:38 AM, do you know where your baseball teams are?

If you answered "in the bottom of the 16th inning" you're correct

A's and Angels burning the midnight oil

Does anyone think there is any chance they recall Iglesias and do something with Drew. I don't mind the guy, but it seems like a good baseball decision to me to get the guy out there with the better glove when the other guy is hitting .146

I must not be reading this right...is it 3 active pitchers who have won more than 20 games in a season? Because I can think of more than 3.

Ok that's what I thought you meant. I got Halladay and Colon but had to look up the 3rd one (Pettitte)....was thinking maybe Verlander/Lee/Zito/Sabathia.

Yeah I remembered the CY Young year and then the other year he won 20 games....wasn't he one of (if not the only) player ever to win 20 games split between two teams (Cleveland and Montreal in this case)?
