It's like the Penguins net is a clown car.

Last year's series between these two teams was the most ridiculous, WWE meets kindergarten series I've ever seen. It was hilarious watching the highlights from the other serious, real-playoffs, tight-checking games and then go to the Flyers-Penguins all-star gong show.

Remember, too, the moment of zen when the Penguins got called out for dirty tactics and some of the Penguins fans expressed their disappointment with them?

Wish these games weren't on at the exact same time. I remember last year they tried separating them by a half hour at least.

I find the Pens/Islanders thread hilarious.

Pens fans are talking about how their teams not going to lose cool like last year, how they added tough guys, and disputing the notion that Fleury will fold up like a chair again.

Islanders fans are talking about JT, their 2nd line that no one knows about (even Pens fans), and the good ole days.

Then mix in some neutral fans stirring the pot.

It looks like it's 1/2 SD and 1/2 HD

Parts of it are really really laggy

Lol at Carter doing his "usual choke job." What, have we forgotten about last year? Or by usual choke job, do you mean he's playing with major injuries and mysteriously NOT producing due to those injuries, like any normal human? Carter's problem here is that after his big season, people expected him to be a 45-50 goal scorer every year.

The irrational hate remains strong. It will never make sense to me, because it makes no sense.

St. Louis' forecheck is like hellfire and brimstone. Relentless. I love it.

and Carter flubbing up the chance to tie it was awesome as well. Deja vu

Carter would shoot the puck if he was directly behind the net if he could. The guy never found a shot he didn't like.

How many open nets with the puck on his stick in the playoffs does he have to miss before its ok to criticize his game? Does he have two broken feet again?

It's amusing that in his one healthy playoff series, he tore it up. It's almost like injuries affect an athlete's performance, right? How many hat tricks in the Finals, while finally healthy, does he need to score to do away with the ridiculous choking myth?

Based on Flyer fan standards, Kane just choked because he struggled with a bobbling puck, giving Harding time to get over for a save. It's just absurd.

The guy never came up clutch for us in the playoffs. Big whoop, he finally did last year. It was about damn time.

Injuries are also an excuse. A lot of guys are banged up come playoff time.

I thought I saw on the overhead that Elliott got just enough of Carter's shot with his trapper for the ping.

There was about 3 foot of net wide open that he couldn't have stopped and he put it back into the goalie.
