I picked up the opinion during last seasons playoffs. Pie came back with a vengance after going out and during the games that I have watched him play this season (all against the Kings with a few exceptions) he seemed to have a physical edge to his game.

I can easily be wrong but if I am then it sort of lowers my opinion of him in comparison to Doughty. A Pie would still be just as exceptional and still one of the best young D in the league but I would then give the edge to DD.

I am looking forward to watching Pie this series because he is a great player and since I spend most of my time following prospects at various levels I don't get to catch too many NHL games and it will be great to get a new perspective on his overall game.

Either way I think that Pie is and will remain among the top young D in the league. I still see him as a born leader but then, you guys will know way better than I will.

He's not a hitter, but you're right in saying he's surprisingly physical if you watch him for the first time thinking he's like OEL, or Duncan Keith. Basically, he does a good a job being in physical in board battles, but rarely is he physical anywhere else on the ice.

Yes because thats easier to say than* Pietra lol. Im just writing it Pietra to shorten the name. If i were to have a face-to-face discussion, id most likely call him petro.

It is "o" not "a".

Duly noted. Thought I'd share this though; it's from Rob Vollman over at Hockey Prospectus. He wrote a very nice, detailed preview of the series here: http://www.hockeyprospectus.com/arti...articleid=1512

Wow, what i game yesterday, the Blues played great for 57min after they played on their heels. When they got the 4 min penalty I thought the game was over but I was wrong.

Go Blues!!

Like I outlined, special teams is going to play a huge role in this series>almost cost the Blues game 1 but actually wound up being the reason they won in OT. Gotta love playoff hockey
