Hawks win in OT in a great game. Suter played 40 min.

If the Preds lost a playoff game like that, It would probably be the last hockey game I ever watch, because it would kill me......

Suter with over 40 minutes and gets victimized on the OT GWG, love that.

It's a rough year when I'm cheering for Chicago and Anaheim in round one, but I have no choice

I would against Chicago if they played literally any team in the league besides Minnesota. I can't stand that fanbase.

Yeah he did. Maybe against the Wings? And then there were another 5-8 near misses this season.

Booing Harding after the game for being awarded the 3 star...yeah I'd call that supremely classless.

I don't have anything against their fanbase, except Leipold....

On one hand he brought hockey to Nashville and we probably wouldn't be here without him.

BUT, 3 things:

1) Forcing us to trade off our assets or not trying re-sign giys (Vokoun, Timonen, Harntell) can be somewhat justified if you're trying to sell the team. But you can not go and buy another team in the same conference after depleting one team. NHL / Governors should not have allowed it. Very very poor taste and extremely unethical. One of scummiest moves in the NHL in recent memory.

2) For all the whining about how much money he lost with the Predators (none of which can be truly verified), he made a hefty sum on the sale of the team. He was an position to go buy another expensive franchise. If NHL franchises were such a bad investment, why buy another? (see #3)

3) Suter and Parise. I have no problem with him signing them, other than out of spite for the above. However, as soon as the NHL goes to lockout, Leipold is again whining about not making money and to cut back player salarys. Well why the **** did you sign these guys lifetime contracts at major dollars? Again, extremely unethical and just dumb.

we rarely are in agreement, but this is 100% spot on. I gave him credit for a while until he turned right around and bought a competing franchise. That was just about as unethical as it gets..

Nashville would have found another owner if Leipold had not bought the team. The NHL wanted to be in Nashville.

So how did Leipold get away with a fire sale of our assets and then buy another team in the same conference without anyone saying or doing anything about it. Does he have the picture of the goat?

I think thats why we ended up with local ownership. I think Bettman probably told him the only way he would be allowed to buy the Wild was if he made sure the Preds werent leaving Nashville. If you remember he ended up selling the team for about $50million less than Balls was going to pay, and he actually got $10 million less than that because he took an unsecured note for $10 million from Boots, which obviously never got paid...

Another year, another playoff round where Jordin tootoo is a healthy scratch - this time on a different team. How is that team change working for you Jordin?

Wings blow a 3 goal lead.... when the Preds arent playing, you have to find enjoyment in the playoffs wherever you can..
