Steen's OT goal. Quick must really hate himself right now. He single handedly kept the team in the game though.

Man, hearing those Blues fans... /goosebump

I remember Raycroft as a good goaltender for the Bruins during his first two seasons. It seems the Bruins knew he was going to be a bust or something like that.

I should ask Leafs fans how great is Justin Pogge.
Seriously they are right there with Milbury... yes they are almost that bad.

Spezza
Chara
Redden
Bertuzzi
Luongo
Jokinen
McCabe

vs

Rask
Seguin
Couture (indirectly but still)
Hamilton
Steen
Tons of other 1st and 2nd rounders...

Not as bad as Milbury but pretty terrible. AND they miss a decade of the playoffs to boot. And it could've been longer if this was a full season as they were starting to get badly outshot every night...

I guess Quick is a human after all. Mistakes like that happen, unfortunately. It was bad timing.

At that point it's more a question of the evaluation you make of the player. And chances are I'm wrong because I'm not an expert. But if I'm right...
Everybody would love to have an Elite goaltender like Roy. We would surely never be overcritical of a guy like him right..

I'm not saying Price has no room for improvement. But I don't understand why some people are going into the POs not being confident in Price. He had great series versus Boston two years ago. He will show up. There's no reason to doubt him based on his previous PO performance.

We would've had high picks a lot sooner. We wasted three or four years with Gomez and co. when we could've just rebuilt. McD wouldn't have been in the lineup until maybe two years ago anyway...

Every thread is the Carey Price thread... except the Carey Price thread. I have now turned that thread into the 'We talkin' 'bout practice' thread.

At this point, have you ever asked yourself what it would take to be a GM in the NHL? You gotta be terrible. One does not simply give all those players for...nothing.

Still, acquiring Cody Franson and Lombardi was a great deal. Dealing Kaberle to Boston was more than great. The Leafs weren't even in a position to make the playoffs. Good decision to deal him.

Getting Lupul and Gardiner was not bad either. Getting Phaneuf was awesome too.

NHL ‏@NHL 4 min

Alexander Steen's (@Steener20) GWG tonight was the first shorthanded OT winner in the #StanleyCup Playoffs since Fernando Pisani in 2006.

> Wow. 7 years ago. I loved that series between the Canes and the Oilers. Was awesome.

What a shot by Teemu.

I get the feeling we're seeing a trend for this series. Most goals, if not all, will be on the PP.

Hehehe, I keep hearing the announcer say Molesky instead of Beleskey.

Damn... you're not very good at arguing aren't you?

Price is playing in the NHL right now, Patrick Roy is not so Price>Roy right?

That make no sense right? Yeah...

Just showing how ridiculous your post is when you compare Price with Halak in different seasons, situations, teams etc...

Koivu looks great this game. Always makes me sad that he couldn't get help when he'd lead us in the playoffs.

You are the one who took the post out of context.

Someone says "Halak is on the bench in STL", the other says "Halak is backup to Elliott" so I replied with my comment. Nothing more. Nothing less.

What is ridiculous is comparing the status of one goalie in Team A and saying since he is backup, it means he is not good enough to be starter of Team B.

That's like saying Bryzgalov is better than Luongo?

BTW, Halak was on the same team and situation as golden boy.
