Makes you think who else is using that assistance to plot against us. We all know the welfare system in Massachusetts especially is messed up, but wow.
We should put a cap on how much you can 'take'.

This is one thing I really despise- there are so many freeloaders receiving disability that there is no money left to help people who genuinely need it. The same thing happened to our former tenant- she worked hard all her life, paid her taxes etc etc. then got cancer. Exhausted her insurance, life savings, retirement etc. so she went to apply for disability & other assistance and was turned down- she was told there was no more money available at that time. I don't know if she ever got it but if someone ever deserved it it was her.

I would be in favor of making recipients account for their spending. After all it is our money they're spending not theirs.

I'm all for making people accountable, but for some reason if you suggest it, you're hateful or a bigot.

Damn they got $100,000 in money from the government? If I got that I would have doubled it or at least made a business out of it.

Don't worry about it. I understand how it happens. I don't think anyone (outside of a few crackpots) are maliciously doing it. Probably just something for all of us to be aware of as this story continues to progress.

Walked up Boylston Street and took the Green line from Copley today.

Was a bit eery but my boss and I walked it so it really helped. Once Forum is re-opened you won't really be able to tell where it happened. That is a good thing since that spot has become a tourist must see. A lot more national news trucks were parked outside of the memorial today.

Again. he's a United States citizen. You go down a very VERY slippery slope if our government decides when to pick and choose taking away our rights. And no.. you're rights as an American citizen don't magically disappear even if you kill people in the name of Islam.

Now.. if he was here on a visa, that would be a totally different story.
I've been a lawyer for over 20 years now and the hackneyed slippery slope argument is too often used by scaremongers to blunt common sense. I'm not accusing you of doing that, but it is often done with little thought to counterarguments. Abraham Lincoln is attributed with stating that "the Constitution is not a suicide pact", yet the fear of the government knocking down our door without cause, which may have been of great concern 200+ years ago, is decidedly less so today. Today, we're faced with combatting treasonous dog enemies of the state who are only facially what can be called "citizens", often either by naturalization. Our Congress has enacted the National Defense Authoriztion Act of 2012 which provides for indefinite detention and military trial of dirtbags like Little Angel #2. Yet, we seem intent on failing to take advantage of the laws we enacted to protect ourselves collectively. Quite suicidal, if you ask me.

Been meaning to ask you- whatever happened with all the stuff about the Saudi diplomat being sent home/being involved with the bombing? My intention isn't to call you out, just curious, as you and your Dad (IIRC) were pretty vehement about that having happened.

It will be interesting to see if the Asshats' accomplices were immigrants like them or over here on student visas.

Oh, no, worries! My dad hasn't said anything about it since that day. I haven't asked. I figured he'll tell me if something comes up. Its just interesting to me that I saw on fb, in the comments section of Fox25, a woman saying the same thing I said. About the Saudi National, who was guarded, investigated, for acts of terror relating to the bombings. Instead of going somewhere with that he was deported and not a word since. They took a lot of evidence from the apartment I'm Revere.

Whether or not the intel is true or not. The guys at work seemed to believe it. I dont think the US Marshalls just spew things with no evidence. But we'll see whats played out. Some people seem to know what they know.

I know for one thing. I hope its not true. Esp now that Saudi Arabia said they warned the US about Tamerlan.

So far, all we know is that they were his roomates, and took items out of his room. I'm going to assume to hide the evidence.

Sounds like they took too many hits and went on Alex Jones and other conspiracy websites. At least, that's what I think. Let's see if they have visas as well.

Three college students have been arrested by federal authorities in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings, a law enforcement official familar with the case said this morning.

The Boston police Web page said that three additional “suspects” had been taken into custody. It emphasized that there was no threat to public safety.

The three people were connected to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, the surviving bomb suspect, at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where Tsarnaev was a student. They allegedly helped him after the bombing, a different source told the Globe.

“Additional details will be provided when they become available,” police said in a statement. No news conference was scheduled. Neither the FBI nor the US attorney’s office in Boston immediately had a comment.
