And no,I don't think Matthias is available. He's still team controlled. No reason to sell on a youngster finally blossoming.

BTW, if anyone wants to know where his new found work ethic came in... he stopped drinking.
Good for him, if that was holding him back at all. Where did you here that from?

I keep looking at needs and it seems florida could use some scoring on the wings. At the draft would you be willing to move one of your young centers for a young established top 6 wing...

I am thinking perron or oshie would be available at the draft.

Hi Panthers fans, Jets fan here:

1) What would the rights to Weiss be worth?

2) Would you guys be interested at all in Byfuglien in the summer? Looking for RW scoring, #1C/#2C, rights to Weiss, draft picks, etc..

Funny, we've been starved for quality centers for so long that the minute we draft a couple, everyone wants to take them away. Keep your wingers and we will keep our centers. We will gladly move our young centers to play wing if need be!

Blockbuster Draft Day Trades

Can't believe I'm suggesting this but to just start a conversation. On Draft Day Colorado drafts Jones and Tallon takes the podium to announce the Panthers select MacKinnon. Tallon surprisingly stays at the podium as Bettman then announces two trades. The Florida Panthers trade Markstrom plus to Tampa for the third overall pick and also Bjugstad to Vancouver for Luongo. Then Tallon steps forward and announces the Panthers select Drouin with the third overall pick reuniting him with his center in Florida. Pleasant fantasy or terrible nightmare?

I wouldn't take Luongo for free. We can't afford that contract.

Oh god no! We arent gonna get the third overall pick.

Stay the hell away from Lou and his contract, we got Markström. And there is no chance that we would trade Bjugstad for Lou, if we wanted Lou. Lou doesnt hold a lot of value with that contract, and Markström is the future. I don't even know why you would want Lou? Feeling bad for him?

at this point why should anyone trade for luongo and help them out. cap going down they r gonna have to shed salary. just wait for them to cut luongo or have them trade schnieder instead.

but i'm ok with just selecting mackinnon and moving on to next season

Yotes fan coming in peace. Looking around for potential replacements for Gordon - what is the asking price for Goc?

Personally I'd say a prospect or pick would be fine for Goc. I think if the Panthers wait till next yr, they'll be able to get a 2nd round pick for him. So the value should be pretty close to that IMO.

I'd rather select the elite forward than have 3 good players. If Philly were at #6 and i knew Lindholm/Barkov/Nichushkin were available, yes i'd take it.

The value is fair, but in these types of deals, i will always take the side who gets the best player.
