With the 18th overall selection in the 2013 Habs board mock draft, the Detroit Red Wings are proud to select, from the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League...forward Bo Horvat.

"Bo is a player we've had our eyes on for quite some time now. He's a player that can play in any situation, and he's not afraid to go to the dirty areas of the ice. We really like his hockey sense, and the fact that he can protect the puck with ease. Character players who can also score are in high demand in this league, so we know he'll be a big part of our future and will most certainly contribute for our club down the road."

Will PM next GM.

Likewise, but he rode the thin line between trolling and humorous posts all the time. At some point, most good posters cross that line on the main boards and get banned by non-Habs mods.

EDIT: I'm at work, pick coming shortly.

If you guys need a replacement for Pine let me know. I was on the reserve list for this draft but I unfortunately signed up for the B draft, which is not going anywhere.

I only support Gonzo if his write-ups are acid-induced like Hunter S.

With the 19th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, the Columbus Blue Jackets are proud to select, from the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League, forward Kerby Rychel.

Oh wait...

"We love Kerby's drive and his ability to score goals whether it's with his lethal wrister, his accurate one-timer or his ability to get close to the net and use his body to beat the goaltender. He has excellent hockey bloodlines and plays with an edge that will be a big plus for our organization."

Habs 4 Life (SJS) has been PM'd.

The Washington Capitals are proud to select, from the Quebec Major Junior hockey league of the Val D'or Foreurs.... Anthony Mantha.

The Capitals organization is happy to add Mantha to our prospect group along with Tom Wilson to continue supply our team with big body players who have the capability to score

Toronto PM'ed

With the 22nd overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft, the Toronto Maple Leafs are proud to select, from the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League, defenceman Josh Morrissey.

"We can't believe this player has fallen to us at 22nd. We feel he is the biggest steal of the draft. Josh is extremely talented, with great vision and creativity, combined with excellent skating ability. We also feel he is underrated defensively and showed very good things at the World U-18 Championships. We are very excited to have him help anchor our blueline in the future with the likes of Morgan Rielly"

Going to PM next GM.

Aw c'mon man you couldn't let him slide two more spots?

You want the Leafs to corner the market on mobile puck-moving dman? Gardiner, Rielly and Morrisey?!?!

I cry foul.

Couldn't really believe it either. It might have been tougher if Mantha was still around, but I still value Morrissey more. A potential top pairing defenceman vs other players that were available, who I feel were more 2nd/3rd liners. Had to go with the BPA.

I'm going to be a jerk and make you wait for the next pick.

I've got a game at 6, will be back by 8pm.

8:30 if we win.

I've got some thinking to do on this one so many good players sliding!

Sorry for the delay but I've waited all year for this.

(That sounds pathetic but I know you guys understand)

Yes, he plays a lot like Duncan Keith and is a better prospect than last year Derrick Pouliot (who went 8th overall)

Very good pick at that point, nice steal !

Great group of guys here. We're doing great so far, and no doubt in my mind it'll continue to go smooth, with draft junkies taking part.

Also, let's welcome Dr Gonzo who is replacing recently fired (heh, I mean banned, it appears) Pine as GM of the Islanders. He was on the reserve list, originally.
