So happy Datsyuk and Zetteberg got reunited.
On the one hand you can see it as them being too top heavy...
But the way I see it, you can teach the chemistry that D&Z have built up over the years.
They're so effective and fluent when they play together!
Here's hoping they can beat the Quackers.

Two ways to look at that, the Blues played about as well as they can and needed Quick to give them the puck in overtime to still win that game.

It's no longer a rumor, the NHL goes all money grab on outdoor games next year.

And, of course, it's the Penguins. I hope its 90 degrees in the shade next March 1, and the rink is a pond.

I thought the Winter Classic was supposed to one of a kind and unique...

Ottawa is a really fun team to watch. I love their young Swedes - Karlsson, Silfverberg and Zibejanad.

No Eller for the rest of the series would be a very big deal for the Canadiens, they get super small with him down. Diaz was absolutely awful tonight, worst player on the ice and got his teammate hurt with a terrible suicide pass. Unfortunately for Eller one of the few times he actually put the puck near a teammate.

+1

So the Blues win 2 2-1 games and have the 2-0 lead of the series. They seem like they are now very close to knocking out the Champs. Did they play last year playoffs?

Don't think we have cup hopes, but I still am most scared of LA if we ever were to play them so that is great. The Blues held serve they are supposed to do that, although I am surprised especially at the way the Kings have lost both games and Quick has let them down late in tilts.

Quick has been pretty bad most of the year.
Honestly, I never thought much of Quick's game, and though I didn't watch every Kings' playoff game, I did watch most of the conference final and all of the final -- and I didn't see "Conn Smythe" goaltending.

Reminded me of the Mike Vernon selection.

He was awesome in the first two rounds, didn't think he needed to be as good in the last two rounds, because they were easier opponents. But he has even made some very impressive saves in this series. But the behind the net goal and the weak winner last night are just goals you don't expect him to give up. Surprising is all, will see if they get right at home, LA had a very impressive record there this season.

LA has been the team I turn on late at night for the last five years. Huge Brown and Kopitar fan, so I watch a lot of them. They have their work cut out for them now, but this is a very talented team that should rebound.

The LA-St. Louis and Washington-New York matchups were the only ones that really setup bouncing true contenders in the first round.

I could have given the Smythe to Doughty but Quick wasn't a bad selection at all. Incredible number, that is very hard to pass. I think he was at his best in Vancouver series, then St. Louis. They kept Devils at bay pretty well and Phoenix just didn't have enough talent imo.

Quick was stud against St. Louis these both games but both GWs were weak.

Looking forwad to MTL-OTT tonight. Looks to be a fairly gritty series, but still a lot of pace and scoring chances.

Crosby well on his way to a hat trick. Two goals in the first 6:20 of the first.

He destroys the Islanders. It's like he has a grudge against them.

Stinks we got beat in what looks to be MAF's only good playoff run maybe ever. I don't know what Pittsburgh is going to do going forward about this, but he is a trainwreck. You can turn to Vokoun but long-term it looks like he is going to cost them a couple good shots at a cup.
