Good point, wish Dats was 5 years younger. Would probably make a good combo.

I randomly found this clip where they are heaping praise on Ouellet.

Keywords: leader, intelligent, constantly improving in all facets of the game, great character.

That Quebec accent

Frk, 2G 2A, 6 Shots, 1 Hit, in 9-6 Win (HAL sweeps)
Frk didn't appear to be on the same line as Mackinnon or Drouin so that's a plus.

So far these playoffs he is 11-13-24 in 12 games. and is 4th in league scoring under Mack (28), Drouin (28) and Sven Andrighetto (30 in 14 Games)

Ouellet is ranked 12th also. 7-9-16 in 13 games

Frk has played with MacAulay and Andrews for 50% of this series, while remaining on the top PK... He's shown he can fit anywhere, plus he can be more of a "hog"/main puck carrier on this line too lol..

Mac and Andrews are very quick so it opens up space for him to snipe, which he did tonight... Can't find a vid yet.

Quine had two huge goals for Belleville tonight in a 3-1 victory sending the series back to Barrie for a game six.

And AA2 was -1.

Same with Ouellet, they lost 1-2 in OT. He was the 3rd star, though.

He's certainly stepped it up. If they lose, it won't be because of him.

Belleville won 3-1.

Quine had a goal, AA2 had an assist.

Series tied at 3.

BLB eliminated in a 4-0 shut out. on the bright side we might be seeing Ouellet in the AHL playoffs. Sproul can't seem to crack the lineup because his defense isn't reliable enough or whatever. but Ouellet's game is perfect to just bring in and believe he will do well.

Well... Blashill "tested" his candidates in the last 2 regular season games. XO is completely untested. Will Blashill insert a player that has a well rounded game in Juniors but never played a minute of pro in a playoff-game? Tough!

He would have to play lights out in practice, I guess....

Fournier isn't really as bad as some make it seem, but there are definitely better options on the roster.

I also find it very unlikely that Ouellet would come into the lineup mid-playoffs. Sproul will probably get a look in one the games though.

I guess it's not a chock but Jarnkrok remains on Team Sweden heading into the World Champs this Friday. Now we'll see if he gets to play right away, Sweden carries 25 players right now which is the maximum amount you can register, but they'll likely leave 3-4 spots open for eliminated players.

It's a team without stars at all(only Landeskog as semi-star) and many interchangeables so we'll see where they slot him in.

Did Loui Eriksson turn them down?

Alan Quine opens the scoring in Game 7. Now has four goals in his last three games for Belleville. AA's team is in trouble outshot 9-0 to open the game.

Barrie really turned the game around, looks like Quine will be in Grand Rapids in a couple days and AA gets to play his former team for the right to go to the Memorial Cup.

Got added today. In a perfect world Jarnkrok could center Landeskog and Eriksson. The other centers are Joel Lundqvist, Oscar Lindberg, Simon Hjalmarsson.

edit: Calle training and looking to play on Friday with Thornberg and Danielsson, two KHL shooters.

After watching Quine play a few times in Belleville, and having watched Minnesota vs Chicago last night, I see a lot of similarities between Quine and Wild C Matt Cullen. I think Quine could have a similar impact in the NHL. Both a strong skaters who protect the puck well at top speed. They are both the type of guys who impact the game in more of a quiet way ( taking care of the little things rather than being flashy offensively).

So it's being claimed on another site than the Wings have signed Nick Jensen. Apparently the sources are SCSU people.
