Starting to see what the shortened season produces. The Flyers, even with all the injuries and Bryz in net, are a much better team than both the Islanders and the Leafs. 82 games and both of these teams would have been out of a spot, while teams like the Hurricanes and the Flyers would have moved up.

If you're Pittsburgh, you don't dress Crosby until the Islanders win two games in this series. Might as well let him rest until Round 2.

Yeah, Crosby doesn't play until Round 2 if I'm part of the coaching staff. It's pretty clear that the Pens are going to make short work of the Islanders even without Crosby.

These games are no fun to watch. I knew they wouldn't be though. Leafs and Isles are pretenders. I give the Leafs 1 win and the Isles get swept.

Leafs are getting manhandled. Macarthur, kessel, and grabo are just being ragdolled. Lupul and jvr are the only two that look decent

The Leafs were only tough in the regular season because they could afford to let Orr and McLaren run around like morons to scare anybody away from hitting Kessel, Kadri, etc. Can't exactly do that in the playoffs where every shift is important.

Programming is going to get a bit thin when both these series are over in 4...

Looking forward to Caps-Rangers. Not sure what to expect from Ottawa-Montreal.

The west is fun though.

Just turned on the Pens game for the first time tonight. Already turned it off after Pierre slobbering over them.

Ok I'm pretty sure the Flyers, with all the injuries, would be doing better than the Isles and Leafs.

both got pretty good playoff experience with the Flyers (lupul got some with the ducks as well) so that's really no surprise.

Bobby Lou has looked very good through more than half the game. He had a highlight reel save on a cross-zone one-timer in the 1st.
