Yup...this just shows how valuable our early 2nds are. There's like 10 players still available I'd be fine picking in round 1.

Totally agree, and I have 3-4 in mind that the Habs could snatch in the early 2nd round that I would consider steals of the draft.

I'm back. We lost but still toasted a good season!

Making my pick at 25 now.

At 25th overall, the Flames are delighted to be able to select, from the Rimouski Oceanic of LMJHQ, C Fredrik Gauthier

GM Feaster says: He's a smart kid with size and superior defensive awareness who can be our go-to shutdown center. We loved his play with Canada at the U-18, where he scored the GWG in the gold medal game, and feel he's just scratching the surface of his upside. He's going to be our Joel Otto, only...better."

LHJMQ and Frederik*

Was wondering when he'd go. At this point, great value.

Good pick at 25. I've seen him listed higher in a lot of mocks. He looked dominant during the U18's. If he can overcome some consistency issues, he should be bring a nice combination of size and skill.

First we would like to thank Habsfan18 for hosting another incredible mock draft.

With the 26th overall pick in the 2013 habs board mock draft the Boston Bruins are proud to select, from Modo of the Elisterein, defensemen Robert Hagg.

We are extremely pleased to have had the opportunity to select this smooth skating dman who is also in possession of remarkable poise. His cerebral play and exceptional puck moving skills will surely be an asset on our blueline someday.

So among the available for the Habs pick:

Hartman
Morin
Klimchuk
Burakowsky
Bowey
Theodore
Petan

Pretty nice. I'd probably grab Hartman if I was picking and then go with an all-offence Klimchuk/Petan/Burakowsky pick with the NSH 2nd.

Knowing WTK, I predict he picks Burakowsky.

Again, not to rain on the party, but with respect to everyone in the mock draft, we shouldn't talk about guys that haven't been drafted yet.

After watching some playoff games.

I definately agree with Hartman !
He would make our team better and his potential is overlooked a lot IMO!

I mean WTK is a hardcore draft junkie...I doubt me naming a few names changes anything for his pick.

I agree with this.

I know it seems silly, but it's sort of an unwritten rule, so to speak.

I concur with you, It could really mess up with other people's strategies, or make those who weren't paying attention aware of certain players. It makes sense to keep things hush hush.

It's a deep draft this year, still some really interesting prospects available. I have my list down to two for the next pick. Hopefully WTK will choose one of them and make my job easier

If you want to talk about yet to be drafted players, there's a draft thread.

Or you could go ruin the other mock thread, idc.

But he's the only one with 3 picks within 27-36, which I felt made it a unique situation worth discussing while we wait for the pick. And it just happens to be our favorite team. But alas, last time I do it.

Sorry for the delay, Im at my girlfriends so I don't have my draft list in front of me right now.. I'll spruce up this selection later when I get home.. can someone PM the next GM for me?

While debating on going for a WHL player.. the Montreal Canadiens are proud to select Andre Burakowsky from Sweden. While the temptation is there to big a gritty player.. the Habs need to add more offensive game breakers to the system and decide that Burakowsky is one of the more highly skilled players left on the board.

If only I bet money on this one, I'd be rich

Sweet pick
