Yes, I just saw it. Don't think it was intentional, but it looked really painful.

Apologize to havlat people, yeesh. If Bieksa came up any harder there Mach 9 would've escaped the earth's gravitational pull. That's not how a seesaw works Kevin.

Hopefully he's back next game.
His fertility won't be back till round two at the earliest tho. Maybe Bieksa was just reminding him who we lost to last playoffs? Hoisting the wrong cup Bieksa, just really wrong. And, I'll stop. Ouch

Pretty sure that ruptured scrotum is one of the most awful phrases I've ever read....

Missed the game due to work.. So here seems to be the highlights:

Couture is a beast as I expected him to be. Torres is also a beast. Bieksa is a dbag who can apparently only hit stanchions and people in the ballbag. AV is also a dbag whining about us cheating faceoffs? Serious? I hope Bieksa gets suspended or gets cleanly checked onto the damn [Mod]. What a clown

"Just win the game!" - (Ray Ratto) is good mojo apparently

AV wasn't whining. Cheating in context with faceoffs doesn't mean cheating in the traditional sense... those who cheat best tend to win faceoffs. He's complimenting your centermen, not calling them out.

Good game for several reasons. First, it was a must win to get rid of the road fear. On top of it, it was the first road win in the 2013 playoffs.

Second, it will force the Canucks to focus more on Couture that should ease up on Thornton, Pavelski, and Marleau. The Sharks needed more offensive threats. I thought that teams focused on shutting down Marleau and Pavelski as an adjustment to those first 7 games.

Great to see Boyle pick up rebound for a goal. He takes alot of crap here (and some from me).

I can see Hannan's role being the old style as the refs back off on calling in the playoffs it seems. Maybe a smart move by DW? They only call the stuff that cannot be ignored or glanced over. That first penalty of the game, a shot to the head, could not be ignored. The later hit to the head on a board check, and another check hit the Canuck's skates left the ice could be ignored.

I'd say if this goes 3-0 in the series, that last game will be ugly.

I am still in the hopes that somehow Nieto makes it into the playoffs instead of Pelech or Kearns!

Haven't seen a lot of comments about Braun, but he was fantastic last night. I don't know what's gotten into him lately (playing with Vlasic doesn't hurt), but he's taken his game to another level in recent weeks.

He has a unique opportunity here.

Next year, it seems clear that Irwin, Demers, and Braun are going to be fighting not just for ice time, but for a spot in the lineup. Braun was probaby last on that list. A strong playoffs will definitely elevate him in the eyes of the Sharks's brass.

I liked brauns play tonight. I think he can get stronger and not get pushed around as much. I also wish vlasic could be more physical I know he has it in him. Is there video on the bieksa spear that injured havlat.

I'm definitely impressed by his recent play. Seems like he forgot how to play offense, but his defensive positioning and gap coverage is outstanding. Even if he does jump up and make a mistake, he's probably the fastest defenseman on our blueline and can make it back.

yea he (braun) had one bad pinch but turned around and stopped the rush at the red line lol. was really fantastic.

whats even better is that TMAC won the matchup duel in a road game. reading fear the fins report vlasic/braun only saw 3 minutes against someone other than the sedins.

hannan/stuart were positive in chance creation

and pavelski took care of roy, which i thought he would. but roy is a dangerous presence and will likely score on us before this is over.

It's nice to have a mobile defense. That's a big difference from 2011. Also the Canucks had a much better bottom 6 than this year.

Good game by the Sharks. I have more confidence in them playing the Canucks this year vs. 2011.

i wouldn't put to much stock into outcoaching in this series, vigneault is one of the worst coaches in the league.
