With the last contract ($2,7M) the stars said they could've easily doubled it... but Lehtinen took the first offer... Still the best defensive forward there is by far.

can't measure how many points he prevents with his great d. intangables don't show up in the stat book either, but his quiet leadership is huge for the stars. plus, while i'm sure there's somebody out there, i don't know another player who puts out the effort lets does every single night on both ends of the ice. i've never seen a game where he took shifts off, or rested anywhere but the bench. he's a cornerstone.

John Madden gets 3.9 millions in 06-07. Do you prefer Madden at 3.9M or Lehtinen at 4M$?
