Meh.

For our sake I hope he's not suspended.

Otherwise, the almighty, future Norris winning, HOFer Dougie Hamilton will make an appearance and we get to hear even MORE about the Kessel trade! And how we set up Boston for a dynasty for years to come!

Stop calling it an elbow, his elbow didn't hit Grabo, his upper arm did. With that said, he did aim high to the head area... maybe 1 game because Grabo wasn't hurt. It didn't look that bad in normal speed, looked worst in slowmo.

What's funny is that if a Leaf would have nailed Seguin with a similar hit, they'd be crying for an execution.

I was playing along with heavy sarcasm and people actually think it was an innocent play, lol.

Even if it were (and the correct answer is that it was both his bicep (to the visor) and his elbow (to the chin)), it was still intentional contact to the head, something the League is supposedly trying to cut down on. No where in the rules does it specify that it must be an elbow. If a guy targets an opposing player's head, with any part of their person, they deserve to get dinged for it.

Ference thinks he's clever LOL. Looking in the other direction and sticking out his elbow to make it look like it was accidental. His post game interview was funny. Surprised he didn't blame it on equipment malfunction. Yeah, it's the equipments fault like his famous "my glove stuck its middle finger on its own" explanation.

Grabo looked better after that elbow to the face. He might have done us a favor considering his history of playing well when concussed.

I seen the hit, Been a Bruin Fan for 50 years and YES, he should be suspended a couple games..Getting back to the Hab reply, Bruins were last in all the league in powerplay time. They get the least powerplays. So to say the NHL does Bruins a favour is crap...What about all the powerplays Habs get every game they're down a goal in the 3rd period..one powerplay after the other.. So don't come on here showing support for a team last week you crapped on..

And Leaf Fans, I'll say again. Last night was just one game. You have a strong dedicated bunch of guys who I think will bounce back up, brush themselves off and ready to go again. One game don't make a series. Although Imn a \bruin fan, I've always showed my respect and support to Canada's team. They were always my 2nd favorite team but its a lot tougher now having them in same division.

All the best Leaf Nation. I fear when the series shifts back to Toronto, it'll be a 1-1 series!!
You invest way too much energy in dealing with your obsessive issues on TORONTO'S board. Don't need to bring any other team than Toronto/Bruins into this discussion.

Do we know what time will be the hearing?

Not only that but the league doesn't call penalties, referee's do.

It's Shannahan.
Shanahan is the face of the committee who judges on these kind of issues. I doubt that he alone is the sole judge and jury of these matters. He reports to Colin Campbell in the end.

I agree, but better late than never. Seguin needs to play as scared as Phil does, and that's repeated, heavy hits on every play, sometimes maybe even a fraction of a second late when he thinks he's in the clear. Mind games like that.

McKenzie's assessment is spot on, for you guys crying elbow. Not an elbow, but a rule 48 violation, worthy of a game, which is what he'll get.

Is it still only worthy of a game, if he's a repeat offender? IIRC, hasn't he been suspended before for something like this?

Exactly, and Shany would lower the boom on the Leafs!

Might be a game, should be I suppose based on how they say they want to call these things. Won't bother me much if it's not. I'd have sooner had the 2 minutes in the game.

He has been under the microscope for similar fringe violations, yeah. Not enough to escalate into a multiple game suspension, in my opinion.

he'll get a game and nothing more IMO.

Seeing as though there was no serious injury (was there?) on the play (which is part of the rule I DONT agree with).

Heavy hitting is the answer to beating the Bruins. Got to take the game to them, not allow them to dominate us.
