so an extra two days is all Sid needed? or has he decided that he fancies his chances racking up some points against the Isles?

Well clearly if by some miracle everyone is ever healthy at the same time, it's

14-87-9
12-71-18

Well, well. Welcome to the party Sid.

The reporters tweeting are really something else.

One had Crosby first on ice.
Other had Jeffrey.

One had Iginla-Malkin-Bennett.
Other had Bennett-Malkin-Iginla.

I just don't understand why Bennett or Iginla can't even be tried at Sid's wing... game or practice.

Nah, if/when Crosby and Neal come back I think you keep Kunitz with Neal and Malkin and move Iginla up with Dupuis and Crosby. Malkin and Iginla just don't seem to have the chemistry.

So I'm thinking
12-87-9
14-71-18

For the time being while Neal is out, I think you put Bennett on Malkin's line

Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis
Bennett - Malkin - Iginla

is scary. Way better than last night's top 6. I guess that's just the result of swapping Crosby for Neal but still....

Pittsburgh Penguins ‏@penguins 9m

#Pens lines looking like this: 19-71-12, 14-87-9, 10-16-24, 15-36-27, 17-46-48. D: 4-58, 3-2, 44-5, 47-41. 29 & 92 present.

Full lines.
Neal not on ice before or during.
Just hope it's not serious.

Only Molinari had "Bennett taking Neal's place on Malkin's line"

I think like you myself, but going by every clue, the team is thinking the other way.

They have Crosby and Jokinen swapping in on the top PP unit.
Probably a sign that Crosby is close but still not a given for Friday.

Yeah. Plus, the Penguins have so many options for line combinations that can and have worked before.

Penguins beat reporters seem to be incapable of telling which player plays which wing. Yesterday some of them had Iginla at LW and Dupuis at RW when it was the opposite.

They're a bunch of idiots what do you expect? Too busy trying to be the first one to tweet or instagram something that they don't bother to get the facts straight first.

To be fair, Iginla has moved around a ton. It doesn't help that his natural inclination is to work the right side and he drifts that way even when he's supposed to be at LW. Even the team's in-house writers have been contradicting each other (on Iginla specifically) because of it.

seeing the hit in the replay it looked like he didn't get hurt. it looked like his ankle got hit by Reasoner's ankle. no real damage looked possible from that collision other than maybe a bruise.

still a dirty attempt by Reasoner and the Isles as they were gooning it up in the end, but that's for another discussion.

I was worried because I have had contract like that before and it wasn't in my ankle I got pain. It was in my knee from it being tweaked laterally by the contract.

But if he is on ice, then he was ether taken off as a precaution, or its only a minor manageable pain.

yup, and under 3 minutes left in the game made the decision even easier for the staff. Just wanted to make sure nothing else resulted from it I guess

No change in Crosby's status. No meeting planned yet with doctor. In constant communication #Pens
