That would be great, or a Cory Schneider-esq "Body" injury.

I'm wondering if we see double OT in MTL/OTT

So far the west has had playoff games, and the east has had smackdowns.

I dont think the bottom teams in the east are that good relative to how good the bottom teams are in the west. I think we'll see better games as the playoffs progress into the later rounds.

I don't think it matters what part of the body hits the guy in the head. He threw a part of his body at Grabo's head. I do however think the cut makes things worse, but that very well could be as a result of the visor.

I like the Bruins and it was fun to see them beat up on the Leafs but Ference's feigned ignorance about that elbow was painful to watch. It's not the first time he's tried that act either.

Should have used the Sutton defense.

Lars Eller just got badly hurt by a head shot. The amount of blood coming out of his face is unbelievable...whoever hit him will be gone for 10 games I'm sure (Gryba (sp), I think). Absolutely awful.

I just got home, turned on the TV and saw a single replay of the Gryba hit on Eller. I only saw the one replay, but it didn't really look like he hit him in the head, but he was clearly out cold when he hit the ice judging by the way he went landed face first.

Did anyone get a better look at the hit?

its nice to see a canadian team thread that isn't all "lets go canadian team!" in the playoffs. That stuff gets annoying quick. The only reason i would ever root for an american team is in the olympics.

Beating Vancouver in this series would almost make any second or third or fourth worth it

Go sharks!

Win win in my book.

I would laugh if you sweep the Canucks.

I have bought a T-shirt or Jersey of whatever team knocks Vancouver out for the last few years. That trend will continue this year. Go Sharks! Hope I get to buy some Sharks gear soon

Meh, I agree(surprisingly) with Stock and Healy.

Clean hit. Shoulder to chest. Suicide pass from Diaz.

Most of the damage probably came from Eller's face hitting the ice.

Watching the games tonight, we can cross Hank and Price off the list of goalies who can replace Dubnyk this offseason. Both letting in soft goals at inopportune times. Can't win with guys like that.

Yeah, I posted right after I saw the hit...at real time, it looked like he gets his head due to height difference. It's going to be a tough call for Shanahan. I guess his forehead was also cut bad and is the reason for so much blood.

He was an unproven commodity at that time but yeah dumb.

He is reminding me alot of Roloson in this game, would love to see Ottawa make a run.

I'm thinking it's gonna be a Caps/Hawks final. I'd really like to see the Caps win. It would be goof for Ovi to win a cup, it would probably be good for the NHL as well since it could help reignite the Sid/Ovi rivalry.

Edit: Has anyone also thought that the type of game that is being played in the playoffs would actually be right up the Oilers alley. Almost every team in the west is trying to play end to end. Hell, if we could of squeked in we might have snuck a round.

Is it a coincidence that both of them ended up losing tonight?

Chances are you're not going to win when your team scores <3 goals
