Really don't see how these guys make it over Larsson And Pääjärvi.
Got zero faith in Mårts, this tourney's gonna be a disaster.

Maybe you guys will get "lucky" and it will become a disaster of "Pat Quinn Coached Edmonton Oilers" purportions so that Mårts will not be long in his position.

Hall and Eberle with Duchense, should be a sweet line.

I'm shocked Yakupov didn't get an invite for Russia.

Whatever, now I won't have any reservations about Canada bending them over.

So the odd thing about all of this is that Mårts was declared a genius after coaching our junior team for several years... And personally I do think that he did all the right things at the time so he's no dummy.

Bah, we'll just have to wait, see and be demolished by Canada on May 9th...

I don't recall a forward group this talented playing at the WC in a long time.

Taylor Hall
Matt Duchene
Jordan Staal
Eric Staal
Jordan Eberle
Andrew Ladd
Wayne Simmonds
Matt Read
Claude Giroux
Jeff Skinner
Ryan O'Reilly
Steven Stamkos

i'm not saying those will be the exact lines, but that is everybody where i think they will play as far as positions go anyhow... ridiculous talent up front... have about 7 guys (stamkos, e. staal, giroux, hall, duchene, eberle, skinner) who are 30+ goal men in the NHL.... the bottom 6 guys are all at least somewhat offensive as well... very good forward unit

I just want Hall, Eberle, Shultz, and DD to get something out of playing with some of these guys.

A number of these players know how to win.

I'm assuming Smith is going to be the go-to starter? Have we heard otherwise?

I am likely being a huge homer, but I would go with Dubnyk over Smith or at least split it 50/50. Dubnyk played on a much worse defensive team and put up almost the exact same GAA and a better save percentage than Smith.

That looks like a forward core who would compete for a Stanley Cup

I would say Dubnyk is gonna get the benefit this time just for the time he put into going to the worlds.

Stanley Cup? Half those players are all-star calibre.

That forward group honestly would be good enough to win gold for Canada at Sochi if pressed into action IMO.
