Adam Larsson for Jordan Eberle

this has been bantered about in a few different threads but I thought I'd make it its own thread.

most Devils fans probably won't want to do this, but I think the value is pretty damn fair. Edmonton needs young DMen and NJ needs scoring wingers. obviously if additions need to be made on both sides, that is possible as well.

as hard as it would be to give up on Larsson already, with the plethora of DMen we have on the team and in the system, I just might do it.

It would be very scary to trade Eberle but I think the Oil would look very hard at this, I would do it though.

it would be scary for NJ to take Eberle as well----there is a risk factor there with him...is he a 35-40g per year player or just a low 20 gpy player---big difference.

NJ better keep Larsson. I think you would come to regret giving him away.

Very close but I would keep Ebs. Even in an off year, snake bitten and injured, he still did 27 G and 35 A for 62 points in a full 82 game schedule.

Would easily do it if Ebs wasnt a big Oiler fan and buddies with Hall (the face of this franchise).. Klefbom-Larsson would be a solid 2nd pairing for the next 10 yrs.

Larsson is our highest pick since 1991. hes gonna be the jewel in our defensive crown for over a decade hopefully. We have some offensive woes but I honestly dont think we should deal him

I'd probably do it.

Still have Merrill, Gelinas, Urbom, Severson, Burlon, Scarlett, and Helgeson in the system and we could always draft Nurse if he's still there (even though I'd rather they still draft a forward even if this deal goes down).

No from the Oilers, if Larsson was a LHD maybe.

I think this is a pretty decent proposal, im a big fan of both these guys. from a pure skill/value I think I might do it but would be really hard to trade Eberle without a big overpayment.

Kudos on a decent proposal though

Can't do it. No assurances that our other defensive prospects will pan out. Eberle is awesome, but I'll keep the defenseman.

I don't know if I like it for NJ. I see Larsson as a Norris contender in the future, but maybe it's just me. I just don't value Eberle quite the same way, although it's close.

No from the Oil. They are fine on the Blueline with Schultz, Smid, Petry, Klefbom and cant forget Nurse

This would be a no brainer if he was LHD . However it does make a lot of sense for both teams . NJ is loaded on D , We are loaded on the wing .
Hall / RNH / a big physical winger
PRV / Monahan / Yakupov makes a great top 6 while adding a D man with upside . Our d starts looking good with
Larson Kelfbom , Petry , Smid , J Schultz , add a couple of big hitters .
redo the bottom 6 and we have a team

Larsson is a puck mover, the coaching staff just plays him in a shutdown role.

I doubt the oilers will trade 1 of their big 4, but I could see them trade their first of this year in a package

I think this is a bad trade for NJ. Its better to build around blueline than it is to build around the wing. I also expect Larssons offence to improve in the coming years.
