The trigger on price should have be pulled the day Eller showed up !!

Did Anderson outplay Price? Obviously, yes.

Did Price suck? No, if you have eyes and objectivity.

Could he have maybe had the 2nd goal, yeah. But i still say it changed directions off Gorges.

I know alot of the posters here are smart enough to realize that when you play an agressive style like Therrien has us playing this year, your SV% are gonna drop. And when you stop skating hard, like we did in the third, you're going to fall apart pretty quick.

Contrast with the boring as crap Martin style. Tons of low percentage shots against, high goalie stats. Also, it's simpler to play that style so you can take your foot off the gas when you are leading, and sometimes, you can hang on for a win.

I still prefer Therrien's style, but be prepared to feel like the other goalie is always outplaying ours.

Anyway, other than losing Eller, I'm still completely confident we take this series.

It's quite clear where his head was after the Eller hit.

That's 100% on Michel Therrien for continuing to play him so much after that. A real coach would have realized how rattled Diaz was and sat him down.
Diaz played bad before the incident too. But i'm not blaming him, he's rusty compared to the other guys, he hasn't been playing as long as them.

You take your leading goal scorer on the team and then demote him to the third line. And Ryder was still scoring goals when he did that to him.

How many NHL coaches do you know of that move their leading goal scorer off of the top scoring line?

If you can think of one, let me know.

Ryder is a UFA. He does not give a damn about the Montreal Canadiens now that Therrien have ****ed him over............the second time that he was ****ed over by a Habs coach.

Ryder will make his $4 million a year paycheck next year with another team while scoring 30+ goals a year.

Should I go on about his personnel choices for the PP?

Sabres fan in peace here. From watching that game Subban is the best D man I have seen in this game in quite awhile. I think the only one better is Erik K, but even that is a big "if". Subbans all around game is much better.

Price hasn't looked clutch for a while let's be honest. In a thight checking game, that 2nd goal cannot go in. It just completely deflated the team.

Also, I think Diaz was a bit shellshocked after the Eller injury, probably realizing his suicide pass led to it.

Not to scare anybody but this Ottawa team looks like the team that Halaked the league a couple years ago. Tightly structured defensive system and out of this world goaltending.

It's incredible the hate som people got for the habs on the main board. No one seems to give credit to the habs for making ottawa their ***** on the ice for 50 minutes.

They robbed this game in an incredibly frustrating way.

If Price was at least average in this game, it's a 1-0 series lead for us. I would leave him in nets and let him face it. He has to be our best player and he has been anything but in the last 15 games.

Price needs to be back next game. This series is on him, live or die.

I don't think people are being unfair to him. He played well for a lot of the game, BUT (and I've defended him to death when it was reasonable) this is the playoffs. Look at the other goalies are what they're doing. Hell, look just down the ice. How is Anderson doing it? Somehow.

Price needs to do that and he will.

THIS has to stop like right ****ing now. Pucks always changes directions. Anderson stopped 20 pucks that changed direction. Every goalie does. A goalie in good position stops those pucks. It didn't changed direction from total left to total right here. Come on.

Absolutely not. When he's on his game, it's one of the best. He's just not on his game.

Goals 1 and 2 were unforgivable. Five-hole has to be sealed.

I dont know how you guys can do it continue arguing, I'm personally crushed and completely down. This game was an emotion roller coaster, we deserved to win yet we didn't. Let's hope for a better game tomorrow.

Its an upper body injury, way upper body, its called not being in the game for 60 mins.
