Wait for Joe Louis Arena officiating. If they can somehow get a win there it will be a miracle.

I'm seriously proud of this team, though. Gonna have to regroup and take one there. I'd love it if they could get it done quickly on Saturday.

Only Bobby Ryan scores with lefty sticks.

The unfulfilled comeback will serve as a great building block for this series. Spirits will be much higher and there'll be a stronger sense of belief to build on, opposed to if we had lost that game by 3.

I'm sorry to say I'm more worried about the officiating in Detroit than the actual team.

Come on guys, this game was not decided by the zebras. I blame Sheldon Souray, he had a horrible game. Two useless penalties and stupid icings. That last penalty was absolutely useless (slashing) and cost us the game and momentum..

Should I be conserned for Ducks penalty killing?

Well, still a very entertaining game to watch, play like this and I'm still sure the Ducks will take the series..

Not sure what is worse, losing like tonight or a blowout? They might be more dejected on Saturday, as they almost were up 2-0...

Tough loss.
Team showed a lot of effort. Hopefully they continue down the same path the rest of the series.

Definitely a blowout because they'd have nothing to build on.

It hurts more, but this had to have given them confidence. Gonna have to improve that PK though. Terrible tonight.

It probably SHOULD have been matching, but Souray 100% slashed him theres no debating that. When you give up a goal in the first 64 seconds of every single period and kill penalties that poorly there's no way we come out with the W.

The takes it too seriously fan part of me though kinda wishes they just rolled over and died though, now Im just depressed.

So you wouldn't slash someone after getting speared in the nuts a couple of times? That's a pretty damn normal reaction by any player in the league.

I'm not gonna say the zebra's decided the game, but it doesn't change the fact it was a ****ing woeful call at that point in the game, specially when both were committing infringements

Do you start Fasth on Saturday?

It's a valid question. Hiller did give up 5 goals

Agreed. Had Hiller been pulled and the comeback was rallied with Fasth in net, then I'd say start Fasth. But, Hiller was not at fault for the majority, if not all, of the goals tonight. Also, his save to deny Datsyuk at the end there was unbelievable.

Hiller deserves blame. 5 goals 32 shots. Not good.

Souray's penalty at the end of the 2nd(?) was a real boneheaded play. I cannot at all fault him for what was called at the end of the third. You defend your net in that situation and take nothing from nobody. He absolutely played that properly. Truly a BS call.

It was great to see the 3rd period comeback. It wasn't good to see such a poor start to the game and continually each period. That's unacceptable as is 3 PP goals against.

I still think we have the better team but they have to play that way 60 minutes of every game. Hopefully they learned that tonight.

Ducks in 5!

Hiller is the reason it wasn't 8-1 and the ducks could get it to overtime.

He deserves SOME blame. Not all. He got his act together at the end and earned a start for game 3.

The PK seems to get so focused in on Datsyuk they forget about their assignments and positioning. Need to clean that up before saturday.

That was depressing. Imagine if we had won...

Oh well, all we can do now is go to Detroit and get our lead back.

Oh please.

He didn't have any chance on 3 or 4 of them. The rest he had no chance on.

He made plenty of big saves to keep Anaheim in the game.

If a goalie gives up 5 goals that are all quality chances for example, should he still get blame? I'd say 4 of the goals were quality chances

Goal 1 and maybe goal 4 were on Hiller. 2 and 5 were wide open in the slot and 3 was a scrum following a huge Hiller save. And that's not including what 5 incredible saves he made to keep us in it? Hiller was not the problem. If he makes a change start on the penalty killers in front of him.
