Draft Watch Party Anyone?

It's all being done on one day (June 30th) this year, so I figure might as well have a get together to have some brews, get some good food, and rip the future of this franchise with eachother. It's been a while since we've had any sort of watch party anyway, so might as well do it when we have a top 5 pick, right? What could go wrong with that? (rhetorical question, don't answer that, JR may be watching for ideas)

Under 21, so I might not stomach the alc like you pros. Plus, this is my summer devoted to American Idol (not even kidding). Either way, you'll see me on television.

I might be able to swing it, just don't know for sure what's going on that far out, although an elder statesman like me might cramp your style.

I would love to go, but I'll be in England. I'll be watching if I can.

I might be down. Depends on how my work schedule shakes out, of course. Still not 100% on where/when I will be working.

sounds like we'll have a decent sized group. So now the debate: WHERE

I'm always open for hosting, especially since I'll probably be doing a brew day at my place that friday/saturday to begin with. Only question on that front is going to be how much food, etc. to get beforehand, and it may be a bit difficult of a drive for the southern and eastern Wake County crowd.

Could also try to get something set up somewhere like one of the Tyler's Taproom locations or Rudinos. Only downside there is if they'll be cool with draft audio there.

Then there's crashing the Canes official draft party, but that one is likely going to be quite crowded and food service will likely be on the slow side.

If you're in London and wanna watch it with someone rather new to the sport while drinking some Norwegian beers, give me a shout. Assuming I can find a stream.

Guess I'll be at the draft this year since it's in Newark. Never been to one before so that will be cool.

You know the Raleigh spots better than me, but if the Chapel Hill location is any indication, Tyler's seems like the right pick if they give us audio.

Yeah, I'll phone the Durham location and the Apex location to check with those. Might have better luck with the Apex one since they not only have the front and back bars, but they have a private room and a side room. I know for a fact that the side room has its own TV, not 100% on the private room. Back bar is probably the best chance though.

Yeah, I have no problem with underage people here, just won't be providing beer for you in that instance. It's also why I want to do some place with good food so you'll at least get to enjoy it somewhat. I can't cook for ****.

Not sure if I could go yet but since Backyard Bistro is an old Damon's I'd assume they still have the speakerboxes at each table where you can choose your audio feed - that might be an option.
