A few teams are trying to sign goalie Michael Condon, who joined AHL Houston after his NCAA career ended at Princeton. Condon is 3-0 with a 2.39 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage for the Aeros. The Wild, Houston's parent club, is one of them. There were points this season where Montreal and Philadelphia checked him out. I suspect there are others, too.

Lundstrom, 20, is a 5th round pick, 132nd overall, of St. Louis in the 2011 draft.
My guess would be that the Blues loan him back to AIK for next season.

They have a goalie logjam in St. Louis with Halak, Elliott and Allen there now. Jordan Binnington, OHL Goaltender of the Year for 2013, is already signed to his ELC and will be in Rosemont next season with the Chicago Wolves, and the Blues have to make a decision on Paul Karpowich as well.

Since the Wolves are an independent organization, and since they will likely be bringing back Matt Climie next year, there's no room for Lundstrom with the Wolves... especially if the Blues end up sending Jake Allen back down.

Karpowich will probably end up being the number one in Evansville next season, and be the emergency callup if the Wolves find themselves short on goaltenders. I can't see Lundstrom coming across to split duties with Karpowich in the ECHL; the AHL, maybe, but I don't see room for him in Chicago.

It's a nice problem to have, though... too many decent goalies.

That said, since he is considered to be a possible eventual replacement for Rinne, I would think they'd want to let him get a full year in next season.

The other possibility is that Jeremy Smith will be let go this summer.

By the way, the pronunciation of his name is not "(MAIR-ehk muh-ZAN-ehk)" but (MAIR-ehk muh-ZAN-etz).... the ending of his name is the same like Pavelec or Plekanec.

We figure he'll be like Erat, Vokoun and Zidlicky-- frequently changing the pronunciations of their name.

Pierre Houde from RDS might be the only play-by-play announcer that tries to pronounce European the more accurately as possible.

Does he gets it right when he pronounces Vokoun as Vo-kawn?
