I'd say Tropp is a lock for an NHL spot next season, therefore probably not a prospect. IMHO.

Voted Larsson, add Sundher. I'm surprised at how far he and JGL fell. JGL, we knew he'd take awhile, and Sunder really came on as the year went on before the concussion ended his season.

Larsson here for me. I really like his game and attitude. He's going to be a good one.

Add Ullmark.

MacKinnon is a lock for a spot next season, too. I agree with you a bit in principle (though not in this case, anyhow) but I imagine these polls use the same rules HF uses to determine a prospect. Tropp doesn't have many games played at the NHL level yet and is thus still a prospect.

I'd be shocked if anyone gives McCabe a run for his money. I'm pretty shocked that this one is the blowout it is. Personally, I think McCabe has a lot more upside than Larsson, but that's just me.

It's interesting, I see Larsson as a 2nd/3rd line swing type player depending on what his role and position ultimately are (similar to Hecht in his heyday). McCabe I'm leaning towards solid 2nd pair 2-way defenseman with offense. Which of those provides more value to his team? I honestly don't know for sure but I'd lean Larsson slightly.

I think McNabb vs McCabe should be more interesting than I think it will end up being (I suspect McCabe takes the next poll relatively easily).

Oh, and a general announcement, I'll probably not be able to get the next on up right off the bat on the weekends, so stay patient!

If McCabe's development curve continues (and part of that is staying healthy), it'll be most interesting to see where he places next year at this time. I'm confident he'll be moving on up.

This.

I think McNabb then easily takes the spot after McCabe. I don't think things get interesting until after McNabb.

I think I'm leaning Hackett after the two defensemen.

With he program he's in having a great rep for developing NHL defenseman, if he continues to trend upward, I could see him leapfrogging into Buffalo's top 3 prospects. Early still, but looking like an astute 2nd round pick for Devine and co.

There's a chance that he'll be there by default due to all of our prospects graduating, sadly.

Voted Larsson, but I'm surprised he's running away with it. McNabb and McCabe are close in my mind.
