Yikes. Really hope the NHL reviews that, very nasty, intent to injure for sure, WTF.

So we trade Clowe and Murray - 2 of our tough guys. We get Torres who is reformed and really won't and can't respond to this... who responded from the team on this?? Sure the NHL should look at it, who matches this with some nasty back?

NHL Player Safety Review of Bieska the Nutcracker?

Does the NHL review and fine/suspend players in the playoffs? If so, do you think they will review this and fine and/or suspend Bieska?

That seemed very intentional to me, including the extra push up when Bieska was face to face with Havlat. Kinda hard for Bieska to claim at that point he did not know is stick was there.

I suspect if they do review this, Bieska will end up with a fine but no suspension.

I guess this goes with the Canucks whole wrestling theme huh.. Bieksa as top heel trying to win it for his faction by dirty tactics.
I was just thinking today what wrestlers I would pair to the Sharks.

Torres - Stone Cold (in your face, trash talking sob)
Marleau - Bret Hart (humble Canadian with no mic skills but great technician)
Thornton - Triple H (buries everyone else on the team )

Me too. I'm not sure the "initial" contact was on purpose, but no doubt the follow-up "grind" was. Cowardly, IMHO.

@PollakOnSharks: Ouch. This would appear to confirm online buzz about nature of injury to #SJSharks Havlat. Does look painful. http://t.co/Pag7wFcNJf

Love how Bieksa cross checks Havlat for good measure afterwards.

I dunno guys. After watching it a couple times, I feel like Bieksa was going for a stick lift and missed. He wasn't looking at Havlat; he was following the puck and lifted his stick up as the puck neared the net. I don't think it was intentional.

Bieksa's stick to Havlat's privates reminds of this Sami Salo quote, from the 2010 playoffs, when he ruptured his left testicle: 1/2

“The general was fine. The first battalion was down.” — Salo 2/2

My thoughts, too.

He's still a spot picker and a puke, though.

Unless Havlat had a Salo degree of injury, I don't see how he would miss 1 2/3 games. Getting hit in the meaty part hurts something horrible, but wouldn't put an average man out for an extended period.

Glasslat is no average man.
