GDT PreSeason Game 2 - 9/19/06

vs.

Staples Center, 7:30 pm

Should see O'Sullivan & Kopitar in this one.
First look at Cloutier in a Kings jersey.

According to the Daily News, Cloutier will start the game and Bernier will finish it.

Is this game on the radio anywhere? I don't think XM is doing preseason games. I checked last night and didn't see any unless I simply missed them

Based on last night's game, I don't understand why they are even playing the rest of the exhibition season... or the regular season... or the playoffs. This team is the Stanley Cup winner for 06-07. End of discussion.

I know this means very little to you being in PA. But it is on 1150am in LA

I don't know if they stream the Kings games

at this point in time, and as stated in yesterday's GDT more than once, KTLK's website indicates that it is only streaming Air America programming and that they are currently not permitted to broadcast any "games" the station is airing. This was not directed to the Kings specifically, but to any and all sporting events the station will carry.

Last night the lineup was...
Moulson-Armstrong-Brown
Pushkarev-Avery-Kostopoulos
Thornton-Belanger-Willsie

Lewis was used with different linemates every other shift as Ivanans and McLaren are the extra sets of wingers that will see the odd shift. The Kings technically went with three lines.

The defense pairings were:
Norstrom-Sopel
Visnovsky-Weaver
Ryan-Dallman

Garon-LaBarbera

Based on who is still in camp, we may see this lineup tonight:
O'Sullivan-Conroy-Frolov
Clarke-Kopitar-Cammalleri
Lukacevic-Gauthier-Kanko
Cowan-Giuliano-Parros
Jackman
Roussin
Hogeboom
Murphy
Korchinski

Gleason-Blake
Buckley-Miller
Mormina-Harrold
Werner

Cloutier/Bernier

Yeah it is. I also forgot that Matt Ryan is still in camp along with a few other scrubs (Stephenson, Zeiler, Schmidt, Nolan). Don't think McCauley and Tukonen are cleared to play yet.

The other remaining goalies in camp are Brust, Fukufuji, Munce and Taylor.

Whatever happened to that guy who played 4 seasons with the Laredo Bucks? Wasn't he on the training camp roster for a minute last week?

I'd suggest a cheap portable AM radio to hear the games. It can also be useful if you're away from home and want to hear the games during the regular season. Some are combined with CD players, and others can be justified as part of an emergency kit for disasters. Many come as part of clock radios, if portability is not a concern.

That works if you live in LA, but when you live 6000 miles away your only choice is stream radio or TV. During regular season we at least have nhl.com radio.

And some come in boomboxes smaller than microwaves and perfect for hiking up on one's shoulders for the ultimate in portable tunes. If you can't leave the 80s behind, take them with you! The kid in the seat behind you may not be able to see around it, but he wasn't alive during the 80s, so he can't appreciate it.

James Hiebert. He was signed by the Monarchs. Don't think he was at Kings camp; may have been an invite at the development camp.
