Wow, samuelsson is going to be a good player... Nice late first pick for Phoenix. Oil kings looked so tired all game, can't believe that they're still in it.

I have a feeling this guy is going to have a good NHL career. Just has that "it" factor.

Agreed. Sad he didn't fall to the Oil. He'd look good in copper and blue.

I am still a huge Gernat fan, he's got so much going on. That huge sick is such an advantage it reminds me of Pronged. And he makes a great first pass. Lazar I could handle as a 20+ overall pick, he's got some real go.

Legault has been a beast tonight. Loving his game.

Musil looks too slow for the NHL... he starts shifts at a speed like he's been in the ice for a minute already.

Oil Kings. Will. Have. To. Step. It. Up. There's no way they can last playing this sloppily...

Apparently the oilers wanted him. Not sure what kind of package it would have cost though.

Lazar!!!

Portland with a ton of skill just don't seem to be a mentally tough can't handle loosing

Case in point look at their goalie

Carruth is acting like such a child. It's hilarious.

EDIT

Portland is a front runner team it appears. Can't handle being down and stymied. Brossoit is in their heads.

Total momentum shift in the third.

Good stuff.

Home ice advantage over to the OKs.

If the Oilers don't draft Lazar, that will be as bad or worse than passing over Doan to take Kelly. Lazar is the man!

Great effort tonight after weathering the early storm.

Still chuckling at Mr. Portland in Four from the WHL thread.

In spite of being outshot the oil kings out chanced the hawks by a lot.

The 2 biggest factors were goaltending and coaching.

The oil kings stuck to the game plan

I'm still a little bemused at how Portland carried themselves while being down. Carruth was throwing little jabs after every play, Jones was taking little shots after plays, stick slamming from everyone.

This Portland team really seems like they need to be ahead or they are lost and frustrated.

Still going to be very rough to win 3 more games for the OK if they don't clean up a lot of crap and get some effort going to start. Get the feeling if Portland were to get the first goal, they'd run wild.

Portland blew their wad in the first.

They had very little left after that.

Have you ever seen Samuelsson/Moroz/Ewanyk when the Oil Kings are losing? Goes for both sides and 99% of junior teams that are used to winning a lot and find themselves down on the scoreboard. Sort of a homer-ish comment, if the Oil Kings were losing like that you'd probably say how you liked to see Player XYZ mixing it up and showing emotion trying to spark the team and showing they care.
