The worst part is I feel like most people who get them just go on kijiji to try to turn a profit. I really wanted them to actually go to the game. Spending ticketmaster prices, while expensive, fit my budget. 600+ for a pair of purples on kijiji or stub hub does not.

They had 250 tickets available for 75,000 or so people on the list. Did you really think you'd get one for sure?

Well if you called in before 10 and they went on sale for members AT 10, maybe that's why none were available?

It was always going to be a long shot anyway.

Tear down the ACC and build a 40,000 seater.

Well, maybe don't tear down the ACC haha...but I swear we'd sell out a 40,000 seater every game...

Won't happen for Floriday games. I always see tickets available for non-rival teams on ticketmaster, on game day.

If they end up getting MacKinnon that could change very quickly.

I was actually lucky enough to snag a pair of top-row purples this morning, right at 10. Feels like this vindicates my 2 hours spent trying in vain last time around.

Obviously, there were 250 available for 75,000 people. Doubt they lasted a minute.

I love how surprised some of you guys are.

Sadly, that is precisely what happens.

Even for regular season tickets, I would guess that the sizable majority end up in the hands of people trying to flip them for money.

Hell, even the draft the past few years... particularly in Montreal in 2009... free tickets, and people trying to sell them for 100$ on Kijiji or Craiglist or eBay.

I personally have no appetite to go to a playoff game at a 75% price increase. It's a slap in the face to the fans who have supported some abysmal years. I have no issue with other people doing it, as I understand it's basic economics of supply and demand on a highly inelastic product, but I'll happily sit in front of my 55" TV with my chicken wings and beer

I made the mistake of hitting Best Available. I was able to get to the purchase screen with a pair of lower bowl tickets. $335 each and around $770 total. I wasn't willing to pay that much, so I put them back and didn't find anything cheaper.

Oh well.

My 108" screen at home is a nice alternative.

Also got a pair of top row purples. I guess $269 is a bargain!

I offered 300 for a pair of purples on kijiji, said he was already offered 550. MLSE already marked tickets up 75%. I refuse to go more than 20% above that markup. So if anyone is willing to sell their tickets for a reasonable price (no more than twice regular season price) to a true leaf fan let me know. Otherwise I, like others, will enjoy the game on my 55"

The "true leaf fan" line; are you kidding me?

So someone should settle for hundreds less than they can get for their tickets; so they can give them to someone who believes they are the one true "leaf fan".

Seriously; that's one of the most pathetic things I've read on these boards.

If you think people aren't buying tickets to flip them for more and to continue to drive up prices you are quite niave. I am not saying I am the only true leaf fan out their. I'm just saying if someone were to sell me a pair of tickets I'm not buying them to look to make a quick buck. I'm buying them to cheer my heart out at the game.

Haha, would be nice though if the ACC was as big as the Bell Centre or United Centre
