Why is it that Carbo doesn't split some line to see if his kids can keep up with proven NHLer???

How can he show himself now with 2 18 y/o???

Not to nitpick but D'Agostini is 19, turning 20 on October 23, and most expect him to be in Hamilton this year (myself included).

And it doesn't matter if Gui scores 4 goals. They'll be watching how he handles himself. And I'm sure he'll get some PP time.

Whooot 3 hours till game time!

Well... good point, but I think that if Lats wants to make a place for himself inthe lineup he has to prove he can outdo a player in the lineup.

Right now he clearly isn't outdoing anyone on the top 3 lines ( Johnson, Plekanec, Ribeiro etc.. have all outworked him so far ) so if he's planning on playing with players with limited abilities,

it's his time to shine, he's playing with '' sub NHL '' players on a line that will probably get around 15 minutes for the game. If he puts on a show, and shows he can keep up with intensity, I have no doubt the Habs will make him a spot.

But Lats has no choice, he has to show a clear dominant impact to make this lineup.

So far he's played better than many of the young guns ( Grabovsky, Chipchura, Urquhart ) ,

but he's getting desperatly outworked by guys like D'agostini ( Chris Higgins Jr ), Sergei Kostitsyn ( Kovalev Jr. ) and Maxim Lapierre ( Tucker Jr )

So the ball is in his corner ! Only clear domination will prevail

Somewhat even line-ups..the Bruins putting out a pretty solid D and an okay group for forwards. Lets all hope for a great, non-penalty filled game!

Go Bruins

By the way, for people who live in the Ottawa region, they're playing the game at Don Cherry`s. I'm going there with Shabutie at 7:15.

The Bruins took something like 13 penalties agaist the Devils and Lewis has been watching tapes and has gone over all of the calls with the Bruins and wants them to cut down of the hooking..hopefully they will take 5 at max.

Are you sure? I just called them and they said they werent sure...i can't see how they would be allowed to show the game but La Cage Au Sports cant because of blackout rules...if there is indeed blackout rules you would think they would not allow a game in Ottawa over a game in Gatineau

Based on tonight's line up sheet, on paper IMO:

Boston Defense > Montreal Defense
Boston Forwards = Montreal Forwards
Boston Goaltending < Montreal Goaltending

Luckily the game is not played on paper though

Just an hour and a half left guys! Hope we start the pre-season off on the right foot with a win tonight. Line-ups are pretty balanced but don't forget, Bonk was dynamite last year in preseason.

I am so pumped for tonight's game(preseason or not). I have not posted since that dark tuesday when Stillman put a knife in my back. Its good to see all of you die hards still here. IT is going to be a great season.

Williams still enemy number one.
