The numbers for turnovers were RIGHT there. It shows a MASSIVE discrepancy in home vs away stat keeping.

Is it really so impossible to admit that even when the numbers are staring you in the face?

Are you really so much of a homer that you can't even see the absurdity of the Hawks having twice as many takeaways recorded at home vs. on the road, for like the past 5 years?

And somehow me pointing that out is anti-Chicago? lol

Not saying he should win but Elias should at lease be an option.

Martin Hanzal should win it. If there's one forward in the league I want out there in the last minute of game 7 of the SCF with a one-goal lead, it's him.

How he's not even a poll option, I don't know.

Toews will likely win, but Bergeron's the guy I saw with my own eyes visibly doing the best work, night in, night out, so I voted for him.

Voted for Jay McClement because of how he helped the Leafs PK go from 29th during the 2011-2012 season to 2nd during the 2012-2013 season. Plus he has also played the most PK minutes among any other Forward which should set him apart from anyone else and had respectable stats.

Do you have Toews individual H/A takeaway/giveaway stats? Because Toews plays better on the road for some reason. So I don't see how quoting team stats without looking at how they affect the individual is fair. It could be that Toews benefits greatly, or it could be that Michael Frolik benefits and Toews' splits are pretty even.

Bergy plays in the East, has won before, and had a good offensive year. Defensive stats are off the charts. So much better than last year, and he won in a landslide. Should be his.

This... Bergeon had a very selke worthy season but Toews literally one ups him in every category.

Tbh, Toews and Bergeon are the only ones that should have any votes, rest are homer votes. Just shows that devils fans can be objective.

Yeah that guy who won three straight Selkes just recently shouldn't even get a vote.

No... He really shouldn't. Not saying Toews or Bergeron are a lot better but they're clearly more deserving this year. Datsyuk will get reputation votes but I'd be shocked if he gets any 1st place votes this year.

why, datsyuk played amazing this year too. plus minus wise he is much more impressive than both. And it definitely wasnt due to his supporting cast.

To me McClement doesn't play enough ES minutes to win this.

Bergeron's GA/on 60 5on5 is 1.29, 2.37 when he is off the ice. Great Corsi numbers, starts almost 40% in def. zone, and takes only 0.6 penalties per 60 mins. Passes the eye test to me too.

Toews' Corsi and GA numbers are not as good and he takes little more penalties. And starts more in off. zone. Bergeron is also little better on the dot.

Dats comes close to Bergeron but starts more in off. zone and is not as good on pk or at faceoffs.

Give me Bergeron.
