Because of FEL-NHL agreement, every FEL contract has automatic NHL clause. Raanta has stated that next season he will play in either NHL or KHL.

These look like Nintendo statistics that Raanta is putting up.

Unreal.

I decided to check his stats and they are pretty unbelievable as mentioned above...
Playoff stats:
Save%: 95.69
GAA: 1.29
Shutouts: 4
Games played: 15
The funny thing is he had 5 shutouts in the whole regular season which was impressive too but his playoff stats are just out of this world. I truly hope he gets a chance to show his skills in the NHL

Raanta is best goaltender in the world at the moment. Suck it up. It's just impossible to score behind him. Just amazing!

His team has incredible team defence and he benefits for that. It's hard to score on that team defence. But i'm still very impressed by him. Haven't seen him letting many softies in but he's capable of doing game savers on consistent basis. He doesen't overplay at all. Just outstanding poise and his ability to read plays are very good. It remains to see if he is capable of being solid goalie in the NHL but we are talking about young goaltender who has very high potential. There will be many teams after him.

Another gem from Finland. Simply unbelieveable how good he is atm. He's also had a few unlucky bounces in the finals, stats could easily be even better.

His team was a joke for 3/4 of the season, coincidentally before Raanta turned it on pretty much

Ässät won game 6 at home 3-2 and are champions. Raanta won the the playoff MVP trophy.

Man that is rememicent of the legendary JS Giguere cup run. Always takes good defense to do that but man when it broke down he was unbeatable.

Ended his SM-liiga season with a tough game with not many saves, but continued to battle through like he did these two seasons. Hopefully will get some icetime and success in the World Championships, but even without those I'm sure he will get a new challenge in battling for a spot in the big league next season unless he goes to the KHL and money.

Thank you, Lukko.

Good debut for Antti in his first men's national team game.

Kept Finland in the game with 15 saves in the first period against Slovakia and got the shutout with 36 saves in the 2-0-win.

Gives quite often rebounds but if he can see the puck he is going to save it... so kind of reminds Antti Niemi

Seems like this was your first view on Raanta? Raanta doesn't give lots of rebounds when compared to other gks in SM-liiga, and if he does, he intends to save them towards corners. I've seen over 50 games from him this season.

really impressive showing - although there wasn't any bad shots to save and his rebound control sucks...

Seems jatkoaika.com posters with inside info have been hearing he's got an offer from Columbus on the table. Supposedly even the first deal Kekäläinen closed.

Haven't heard about that but it seems like he has done a contract with Chicago.

Hopefully he goes to an NHL team that needs a goalie, so that he has a bigger chance of getting the spot

If he continues like this though, no one should worry

If I have understood CBA correctly, Raanta can make entry level 1-year contract before draft as free agent with any team but if he gets drafted (no age limit as he's european), he will be obligated to sign entry level 1-year with that team or wait two more years to become UFA. So, if this really is so, there's a lot of pressure for him to sign now.

Rumour is that there is already offers from CHI and CBJ. Hawks did intense scouting during FEL playoffs and CBJ has Kekäläinen connection.

^ He is not draft eligible and will not get drafted no matter what. That no age limit thing only applies if player has been drafted and not signed and therefore re-enters the draft.

Per some twitter tweets he has ten nhl offers including columbus, chicago.

Say what you say, his a good goalie for FEL but not big enough to play in the NHL.

I would LOVE for buffalo to get in on this, Hackett may not be ready, we will likely trade miller leaving us with enroth as our only Goalie who has proven himself, Raanta would come over and get a real good look, plus he is 24, so he fits the age criteria for our rebuild.
