Matt Read will probably get more than 4 million if he keeps his current scoring pace up next year and hits UFA.

Fair enough. Like I said, never got to see him play but others have and said he has had a great season in the SM Liiga. He's a 18 yr old in a men's league. Gonna happen.

The UFA forwards list looks good right now. Depending on how many of those guys actually hit free agency could dictate Read's salary.

We all know half those players won't make it to UFA(even more probably.) Also remember the whole ordeal with Brad Richards, when Tim Connolly had to wait for his time to sign. He still got 5.5 million. Other players don't have an affect on the price, just the place.

Same could be said about Carle with Suter. The price doesn't change, just the places that are interested.

A lot of the finnish posters that I've talked to are split on him.

A lot seem to think he should have been sent down this year since he didn't look too great, but also a lot of others think he was okay for an 18 year old

Yeah I was agreeing with you that he'll get at least $4M, he could even get more if theres not much competition out there is what I was trying to say.

Sa Cryed and anyone else

Want me to upload some games of prospects that I can find?

I may be able to get somewhere around 5 or so for each of the top few prospects and a ton for some foreign leagues

Sure. I dont get to see OHL/QMJHL/WHL or anything really other than the AHL. Most of what I say is based off of what I read or who I talked to. If I can see video of Zadorov maybe he can pop infront of Zadorov

I'd like to see some forwards though. That would be cool.

Alright, I'll probably do just up to round 1 with players going by ISS's ratings

I may do 2 or 3 players a day depending on what I have going on. I'll try to upload as much as I can to youtube and I'll post it here. If the videos get taken down, I'll upload them to a site like megaupload as long as it's okay with the mods

megaupload doesn't exist anymore. there are plenty of others like it but some just flat out suck with there restrictions. i suggest mediafire. they have decent dl speeds and allow free users to dl multiple videos/items simultaneously.

your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Seems I should be able to upload everything to the webhost that I have, so I think I'll go that way instead of youtubing everything as it would be faster and easier.

I may still upload some to youtube if I have time

Nick Sorensen would be an interesting 3rd round pick (I think he is ranked in the 2nd round). Seems to have some good skill.

He was thought of to be a potential 1st rounder when he first arrived in Quebec two years ago. He's had some bad luck with injuries the last two years though which has hurt his draft stock.

So you be getting good value you there in the 3rd if he were to fall there.

I don't want Gardiner. I just don't. Honestly, I'd rather just get someone from the draft and bring them up. You know what too, at least the D-men we're going for actually are physical players. Gardiner is soft.

Agree, he is soft as can be. But I think him paired with big stay at home like Gross, he could be Great.

Kimmo
Gards
Guss.

Gives us good pmd on each pair with future top pair of Luke and Gards.

Yeah, but would you really want to do that? I like Gardiner as a player but I probably wouldn't do it. If we're trading our 1st for someone I rather add to it and try to get someone a little better than him if we were to go that route.

I believe yes but I wouldn't do it.

We'll get a great player in this draft. Make use of it.

I'd offer Cousins and our 2nd instead. They decline, whatever.

Every year since the 70'S I get my Hockey News Review(except a couple years when I protested the new format which I still hate). I rank the prospects based solely on the HNDR. I give them a one to five star rating.Based on them being a Flyer. Five being best. HN has Nick rated 49 and I gave him a four star which is dam good there. I like him but it seems like he has trouble staying on the ice due to injuries. I could see him getting picked by Philly but it looks like round two. Other players who I like in round two are J.T.Compher 4S,Dillon Heatherington 5S,Emile Poirier 4S, Conner Hurly 4S,and Brett Pesce 4S. I do pretty well for not being a so called export
