This will probably be tonight's lineup, based on the cuts made today and who didn't play last night:

O'Sullivan-Conroy-Frolov
Clarke-Kopitar-Cammalleri
Cowan-Giuliano-Parros
Roussin-Lukacevic-Jackman

Gleason-Blake
Buckley-Miller
Mormina-Harrold

Cloutier/Bernier

I drafted Kopitar in a fantasy pool. What are the chances of him staying with the big club this year?? I know he's young but he's NHL ready IMO.

Alot of people thought he'd be starting the season in Manchester before camp, not because he's not ready so much as he'd have to really blow everyone away to take a spot away from a current roster player.

I'm not sure if the concensus has changed since.

I would say it's 50/50. I hope he makes it straight out of camp and I think he will.

Notables in the lineups tonight...Blake, Gleason, Kopitar, O'Sullivan, Cammalleri, Conroy, Frolov, Ivanans. For San Jose, Cheechoo, Joe Thornton, Matthew Carle, Scott Parker, Marcel Goc, Mark Bell.

If I heard Nickson correctly, the top 2 lines will be like so tonight:

Cammalleri-Conroy-O'Sullivan (wingers on opposite sides)
Clarke-Kopitar-Frolov

Assuming Crawford will be following the right-hand, right wing/left-hand, left wing trend, Thornton would be my bet if he's playing.

The thing that throws me is that both Cammalleri and O'Sullivan are left-handed, so I'm not sure what this line arrangement accomplishes. One of them has to shoot off-wing either way, so they'd be better off with O'Sullivan on LW and Cammalleri on RW, since they're both more comfortable in those positions.

BTW, I think that Nickson just said that Clarke will be the other one on that Kopitar-Frolov line.

Schaefer will start in goal for San Jose.
We are underway.
Blake is paired with Gleason.
Miller is with Dallman.

Giuliano, Cowan and Lukacevic is another line. Ryan Clowe and Cowan just went at it. Decision to Clowe.
Jackman, McLaren and Zeiler is another line. Mormina and Harrold is the third defensive pair.

Miller just broke up a 2-on-1.
Great pass by Kopitar just to get the puck to a linemate while being checked on the rush...
Kings PP - SJ: Iggulden (hooking), 4:39

Bell just got a dangerous chance below the right face-off circle. But his shot was deflected out of play.

Apparently, fans are cheering Blake rather than booing him.

That was answered above. I gave the top 2 lines and LeftKinger gave the bottom 2 and defense. To answer your question, no, Roussin isn't playing.

Kopitar has one glaring weakness...face-offs.
Gotta love having Blake's cannon back on the blue line this season.

And the Sharks just scored.
1. SAN JOSE. Carle 1 (Cheechoo, Pavelski), 12:37
Kings PP sounded a lot like last year's, except for Blake's point shot, and then the Sharks went right down and scored...
Sharks have been better than the Kings at 5-on-5.

Really? I was always under the impression he was a good face off man.

Kopitar and Frolov are seeing time on the PK.
