There's mixing it up and showing emotion, then there is Carruth taking swipes at everyone in his vicinity after plays.

I know, I'm cheering for the OK's too but I'm just trying to bring a bit of perspective.

Psh...who needs Seth Jones. We got Marty Gernat outscoring him in the playoff defenseman scoring race.

In fact, Gernat leads all WHL defensemen in playoff scoring.

You would think that with all the scoring Portland brings and the offensive system they play, that a guy like Jones or Pouliot would lead the WHL. That's quite an accomplishment.

Well Pouliot is tied with Gernat for the points lead (with one less game played) and Jones is only a goal behind.

1. Martin Gernat Edmonton Oil Kings GP17 G6 A10 P16
2. Derrick Pouliot Portland Winterhawks GP16 G4 A12 P16
3. Seth Jones Portland Winterhawks GP16 G5 A8 P13

The next couple guys (Humphries and Rutowski are over agers). Pretty impressive company for Gernat.

LB is the man! Portland was making us look like we belonged in bantam AA in the first but Brossoit was there to hold down the fort until we got our footing.

I had no idea Portland was such a physical team. They were just hammering our boys out there, especially in the first stanza.

Give to 'em again tonight boys! Two road wins to start the series would be a real statement by the Kings.

I think you forgot the most guilty one of this LOWE haha and I didn't think Ewanyk and Moroz are to bad for this, but maybe I am being a homer

It would be hugew if the Oil Kings sneak out another victory and going home with a 2-0 lead in the series. Is it just me or does it seem like Lazar is getting better every game?

Oil kings maturity and balance will be the difference in this series, caught a few Ok's games this season and sometimes it looked like a pro team against a junior team.

Kings got worked over that period. They need to stop taking f'ing idiotic penalties. I expect a much better second period.

Dirty knee-on-knee hit to Samuelsson.

Somehow it's only a two minute minor.

I am going to ask this even with the risk that it will make me sounded like an idiot. Has there really been no shots by either team in the second period for almost 15 minutes, or has the game summary sheet just stopped updating shots?

The WHL's site is messed up (again).

Edit: shots were 11-11 in the second period.

Brutal game by both the refs, and the Oil Kings. Once it hit 3-0 I turned the game off.
