Really though, I think the Kings offense opens up tonight. I think we're due for one of those random Kings-Blues 5-4 games.

Also, water is wet and fire is hot. I never argued against the call (well deserved), I just found it amusing that the Blues fan I quoted called it "vicious".

Ha. 3-4 goals in the first 10 minutes, followed by 50 minutes of beating the hell out of each other. Sounds about right.

BREAKING NEWS: Blues/Kings agree to pull goalies for entire game in order to make game exciting.

Alas, score is still 2-1 thanks to excellent trapping by both sides

All three goals were excellent shot blocks in the neutral zone that went the length of the ice

I assume that you mean 5-4 Blues win.

In all seriousness though, expecting another great game. LA isn't going to take a beating laying down. Another 2-1 effort wouldn't surprise me. I wouldn't be surprised if a few more squeak in and we end up with a 3-2 or 4-2 game either. Blues take one of these games (preferably this one) in LA we're in good shape.

Let's Go Blues!

Edit: Also, the last few posts have had me rolling.

Also Blues another sign of respect - this is by far much more competitive than any playoff series we had last year.

I didn't touch the rum last night so I would have plenty tonight. If it's anything like the last 2 games I'll need the 3/4ths that is left in the bottle, likely by the end of the first.

I think we all can agree this a great and very tough series. Best in the playoffs thus far.

We knew it would be long and hard (that's what she said).

Kings got all the bounces tonight. That's the way this whole series has gone. A series of inches. Jake Muzzin is not ready for the intensity of the playoffs yet. I'd keep Martinez and hope that Greene is good to go Monday.

Tough break for Schwartz. I've been incredibly impressed with his drive for the first three games.

This has been the most exciting first round matchup for a fan of a team out of the playoffs.

Blues are so efficient in transition, I think they've had more, and better, opportunities over the course of this series and have fewer holes (e.g. Muzzin, Ellerby). I think they take it in 5 or 6 but as a hockey fan I'd like to see 7 games with every game going to OT.

Oh yeah, agreed. Those first two games were probably two of the toughest wins we had all season. No surprise the Kings made it 2-1, there was no way this was going to be a sweep. I'll be surprised if it's less than 6 games.

David Perron follows up his brutal game 2 head shot on a defenseless Dustin Penner with a high stick to Doughty (thank God for face shields) and a vicious run at Jonathon Quick.

At this point the only question is this: Is David Perron history's greatest monster or merely the NHL's?

I was shocked to see how smooth Martinez looked out there tonight, because he was a train wreck before Sutter moved him out of the lineup last time.

Good game, Seemed a very dominant forecheck by the blues put our young D under a lot of pressure. They remind me of the kings last year. Outstanding game by Quick, hopefully this win is enough to jumpstart my Kings.

LOL at the Penner head shot, Berglund was the one who "high-sticked" Doughty, and that was not a vicious run. King fans should know what a vicious run at a goalie looks like, unfortunately.

As long as they don't have any crazy injuries, they will be at a pace above everyone else.
