I liked what I... err... read. The only thing that really mattered to me was that Kopitar and O'Sullivan played well and got chances, and it sounds like they definitely did. That's the important thing for this season.

Definitely. Sounds like Sully needs to hit the net a little more though. If you look down the stat sheet, he had a lot of chances but just shot wide.
What's with no pre-season radio in California? I'd love to have heard the game. For the next game if anyone knows how to do this, could some in the LA area tune the game in on the radio and use a mic to "stream" the game for those of us out of the area? Then again as its Frozen Fury, the Kings will likely have the game streamed on their website as this is a somewhat important game for them.

Poor kid probably has some nerves. Hopefully he will just relax and play his game in time for the regular season. You don't get 93 points in your rookie AHL season without good reason, I am sure he will get better in this regard.
Just got back from game. Quick thoughts:
Cloutier not to fault on either of first two goals.
He's wearing "regular" helmet.
Camallerri was the most consistently dangerous Kings forward.
Kopitar looks comfortable, but there were a lot of future AHLers out there on Sharks D
O'Sullivan foiled on two breakaways but did a fantastic job to get himself into position to even get them. Both were from red line in clean.
Mormina looked lost.
Dallman reminds of Corvo skills in Weaver package.
Frolov and Kopitar playing together reaked of years of potential
Some guy got thrown out of Staples Center for throwing a peanut shell on the ice.
More later.
You are on this board tonight why? I believe that last night you were on the Duck board extolling the virtues of that team. I read your posts. If you have something constructive to add to this board, fine, but trying to get a rise out of people will not last long.

Agree with most of these comments. Sully's breakaways were great, the kid has wheels, he just failed to bury the pucks - but then again, no one else was able to do so either....
Frolov & Kopitar looked good, Kopitar was pretty hard to knock off the puck, just like Frolov.
Dallman looked pretty good too.
The idiot who threw the peanut shell was probably one of the extremely drunk Sharks fans in my section. A bunch of young guys rented a bus down for tonight's game and their game tomorrow in Anaheim. A few were sober, but most were pretty oiled before the game started. They were pelting people with peanuts and couldn't speak, only scream. Most of the regulars in my section (myself included) got up and moved. Twice. Then the SJ group migrated down to the 100's
They were obnoxious as hell. I still can't hear myself think.
Why didn't Clouiter have an Osgood helmet? Probably didn't get one yet. Just think of a Frolov Kopitar line gives me chills...that would be awesome. You guys rip on Clouiter too much.

I Agree. A few things.
Cammaleri and Frolov looked good but they have been looking good. The problem is they cant create oppertunitys for themself all the time. They need someone to feed them desperately. Joe Thornton, Gomez somthen that passes like crazy would help this team out so much.
Honestly nobody really looked good out there other then the people we knew would look good. Kopitar , O Sullivan , Cammaleri , Frolov but then again these guys are no where near as good as they need to be to lead the team. Got a hole team of snipers(Scorers) with nobody to fill with ammo(Passers) . Lukacevic is good but he has no offensive upside. Or atleast he didnt show it only paid attention to the defense. I disagree Cloutier is not very good. He may not be at fault for the goal but he is at fault for letting the goal get to that position he could have prevented it.
It was pretty wierd. I was in the elevator going up to the resturant to get a bite to eat and Parros Garon Matt Ryan and Belanger walked in. I messed with them a little bit. Because they were all dressed in suits. So I said "You guys must be some dedicated fans coming to the games with really nice suits." So they started laffing and the guy who was running the elevator kinda gave me a blank stare lol. Then I said that I was just playing and we had a nice little laugh

Frolov and Kopitar together is money. Two big bodies who can control the puck like no ones business. I can't remember how many penalties Kopitar drew with guys all over his back, at least 3. And where did that rumor of Frolov being fat ever come from? He's leaner and faster then he's ever been.
O'Sullivan didn't really impress me, but it's only one game, and it seemed like he was still getting his legs underneath him. Had two breakaway chances where he definately showed his speed, but couldn't bury them.
Bernier is fast! His side to side lateral movement is incredible. I wasn't a big fan of him at #11 this year, but man, he's definately playing to change my opinion of him.
Lukacevic is Craig Johnson part two. And not in the bad way. Serious wheels, and will be a pretty good pk'er.
Cammalleri had a decent chance but missed wide. It was weird seeing him as the ceter on the PP, with Conroy on the wing.
Everyone else was pretty invisible aside from Cowan getting beaten up.
Yeah, check out how some people completely misinterpreted my Gleason thread... I honestly think he needs to re-think his numerical choice as soon as possible.

Exactly. That number has been nothing but crap for a long long time.
