I'd rather a goaltender and a defense that can keep the opponents with 3 or less goals a staggering amount of the time than an offense that can score 6 and still lose.

That being said, we need to be able to score 2 at a minimum or the luxury of our D and goaltending is wasted, as it has been for so long.
Yeah, neither of these teams will go far with their defense and goaltending. I remember seeing the same comments last year about how entertaining the Pitt-Philly series and then Philly lost in the next round to the Devils due to their crappy defense and goaltending.

Watching the Isles is like watching a totally different hockey game.

Well, it technically is a different hockey game.

I think what you meant to say it's like watching a different sport.

Torts probably turned the TV off and told them to forget this game: that a good team doesn't allow 4 goals.

It's basically, "Go any team that's playing the Penguins!"

There is a big difference between 4-4 games going in to OT, and games nearing/with double digit goals.

The thing that bothers me most about the Rangers system is the fact that it is employed in an effort to supplement the best goalie in the game, when really the exact opposite should be true. Henrik so rarely gets beaten by clean shots /opportunities, it's always deflections or broken plays. Open things up, score some goals, and give your all world goalie some margin for error, just make sure you let him see the puck. It's infuriating and painful to watch his career being wasted.

You're not gonna get that all of a sudden in Game 3.

It's little dirty plays like that Kunitz play that the Pens get away with.

Yeah and how many have the pens scored? Yet both teams are one goal against from going down 2-1 in the series.

No ****. That's why so many of us have been calling for it for months. It just gets magnified by every stellar performance Henrik throws up in a losing effort.
